and people want BEs to have a higher CL lol
That's the spirit, just leave everything valuable at home and get out the needles!!!! Sampling is fun. 
Glad you excaped the cloner!!! Beware the baznitches - they instant aggro me and I'm only one CL above you. There is nothing like the rush you get when you get a sample and getting one from a critter you have been failing on for hours is added spice.
Sampling is addicitve - until the new CH system was introduce which has me taming everything is sight,the first thing I did on approaching a lair was to attempt tosample. I would get so frustrated when I would find something that I really wanted to sample.
Had a similar exp last night on dath. Mastered 2 nights ago and wanted to make a lvl 70 pet. Am only lvl 17 so expected to clone quite a bit. Managed to make it to the plains in the south without getting my barc blown up. Found aherd of malklocs(bulls lvl 75, normals lvl 75, and young lvl 71) and started sampling. Also found a couple of verne's (lvl 60) and brackasets (lvl 65). I am trying different combinations to get that elusive lvl 70 pet. Unfortunately i forgot to bring any creature food so i could craft out there so came back at the end of the night. Sitting safely in my house I made a 74, 72, 69, and two 63's. Definately going to be going back out there and will publish any stable recipie i find.
