Hi there, All -

Let me start by saying that I have never been a BE, and until recently never had much interest in it. However, I have grown tired of all of the PvP and Combat Specific Profs and have been considering some combination of CH/BE and Ranger, (I have 1 respec token left that I've been saving for some time :wink

My first Master Prof was Creature Handler and I loved it...until it was nerfed some 2 years ago, or so. I have also Mastered the Ranger profession and found it to be an equallyrewarding profession - both financially and personally. Along the way, I have mastered Many Combat Profs and several Artisan Profs. (I am currently a Master Shipwright/Master Architect).

I enjoy crafting and resource gathering, and I really enjoyed my pets.

What would you recommend for someone who doesn't plan on doing any PvP and has one respec left?

Thanks,

Ji'quan

i think you'll love this proposed template, although you may find certain angles frustrating.

as for what branch of ranger to get in to - is a tough call - but you may want to read up on the forthcoming ranger changes before comitting to anything.

i find the 3rd tree of ranger to be very useful, but we know that is getting changed.

If you want to do BE to make some pets, well the grind is a bit much, use your respec. Make a few pets you will want down the road and then grind something else out. CH/Ranger could be nice, as is CH/BH/Ranger combo in some fashion. Don't expect to kill any jedi without CM though.

your biggest problem will be your toon's CL.

it's a fun template, assuming you don't want to control CL70+ pets, like frequent trips to the cloner, don't expect to be welcome in groups, and don't want to participate in any of the game's CL80 content (like mustafar).

formerly, mBioE/mCH/ranger 0030 was a popular template, as it allowed for more information on creature mobs with /examine and gave you the ability to track (distance and direction) creatures and NPC's to 500m. unfortunately, /examine became useless with the CURB, and the tracking skill is being removed from ranger.

the Ranger profession will be reconfigured/"enhanced", as detailed by the following link:

Ranger development

as far as i know, a definitive date hasn't been set, beyond the "near future".

none of these changes have been announced for the upcoming publish 24.
