Thread: Questions about shopping for BE pets

Note: this is not a "looking to buy" post (although if any Chilastra BEs want to contact me...).I'm trying to get a feel for what I can / can't get, what options are available, and how to recognize good / bad BE pets.
Goal: Deal the most amount of pet damage as possible.
CL: Two CL 23s and a CL 24. With the way pet damage scales with CL (at least with wild pets), I've found I can do more total damage with multiple smaller pets than one large one. Unless the damage / CLscaling is drastically different with BE pets, I'm figuring triplets are the way to go. High Health (6-8k) on most of our recipes means lower damage around 200 max. We can make a 4k health but damage is not much better. Someone else who has had better success can probably correct me here.
Skin: ??? Ok, so certain skins have certain min (and max?) CL caps. Do cat skins still have faster movement? Do any skins give benefits as far as damage / attack speed? What about AoE? Skins make no difference, at least right now. This may change with ToOW, remains to be seen. No AoE.
Size: This may still be an unknown with all the changes you guys have been hit with. I don't want the pet to be much (if any) bigger than an average player. Something along the lines of a wild tusk cat or narglatch would probably work. Would any CL 23/24 pet be roughly the same size, or would it depend on the skin? Should be low medium to medium size depending on the skin (if the max CL wild is lower the pet will be bigger)
Damage: What level of damage can I expect from a CL 23/24 BE pet? What kind of speed? Don't have any pets in front of me ATM but roughly 160-200 possibly more if health is dropped very low.
Health: Not a priority, since I'm planning on being the "tank" (TKM + medic for the healing), but I'm not looking for 100 HAM weaklings, since it's possible the pets may get hit from AoE or the occasional acquisition of aggro. See previous answer.
Armor: Is this even a factor on pets anymore? For my needs, I figure it's along the same lines as health: not a priority, but nice to have if it doesn't bump the CL. No matter what the deed says, armor reverts to wild stats
So, given all that, what should I be looking for? I know most pets used to be strictly tanks, has that changed enough with the CU / CH update that "nuker" pets would be generally available, or would this be more of a custom order? As a MCH I would go with a higher health and add Frenzied Assault which would increase amount of damage for each attack but lower defenses, Combat Agilityand then one or two of the triggered attacks
Thanks for any input you can provide.
I've just been working on this same issue myself. I managed to create a decent CL23 from yardtrash and DNA sampled from an old (now unusable) CL35ish uber deed I had. 2371 health, 10 regen(!), negligible armor, and 70-310 damage.
However, if you want to sacrifice everything for damage it looks like an MBE should be able to manage CL22-24 with ~1k Health, regen of 60 (60, not 600), and 84-352 damage. That's according to Dor's formula for CL guesstimation (which I find accurate) from the BE tool, using Flesh Eating Chuba DNA for everything except Aggression, where Jagged Fang DNA (which has 1000+ aggression) goes instead. Exp Aggression til power is around 485, and health to just under 150 for a 22-23(or around 155 for a 23-24), or so goes the theory.
When I just ducked outside for yardtrash-type DNA after logging in it looks like a transport carrying reptiles crashed in my backyard - vine rawls, spitting rawls, and more fambaa than usual. It's like the Naboo mountain and swamp spawns all moved north. No shaupauts, gualamas, chubas, or spineflaps, but more spitting rawls than I've seen in one place in a LONG time. Anyway, I'm not able to test that "pure damage" triplet right now quite yet myself.
You may want to look here, too, although it is mainly bearing out your thought of using triplets for damage rather than a single big tank.

Samething on Naritus - Pub 24 seemed to remove anywild spawnsunder CL20. And we are wall to wall Gungans - there are so many gungan camps you can barely move.
