Some evenings are reserved for collecting DNA. So last night, I grabbed arthur and we headed to Endor for sampling. I used my tracking abilities and he'd direct me to what he'd find. This was a fun trip. However, everything turned null and void when he would witness his lair get decimated by another creature. Five minutes later, I found my lair being decimated by other creatures. Later that evening, I found a nice spawn of gurrecks that, once again, decided that the bolle nearby was dinner. So there went my sampling adventure as they all died.
Has anyone noticed a sheer increase in creature aggro's toward others? I find this quite frustrating.

Yea, I've never really witnessed this quite to the extent that we've seen in the last few nights. It's just a big free-for-all with all lairs attacking adjacent lairs it seems like, even when both creatures are not aggressive! very odd (and very frustrating).

Last night I saw an Arachne Queen and 2 Widows ravage a pack of Crazed Gurrecks. Was some of the best entertainment that night ... well except for obviously finding an arachne queen/widow spawn (and then milking it till my inv was full).

If this is the case sampling will be harder, but killing creatures just got easier.

This is affecting CH pets as well. Any agressive skin pet will randomly run off and attack the nearest creature/NPC. Usuially when doing so would be the most hazardious to the health of its owner (never take agressive pets to the Krayt graveyard).

I have a non-aggressive Hermit Spider that my CH uses that has exhibited this behavior lately. Just wanders off and picks a fight with whatever is nearby.
And I have also seen this for lairs and creatures moving off to attack neighboring creatures, even at distances greater than 64m.

Ditto for my jax... I can't take him anywhere anymore. He ran away on Dath to play with some of those flappies I can't remember the name of at the moment... Silly cat. *nod*

Last night was worse. It didn't matter which spawn I ran into for sampling, it would aggro some creature. Then all of them would aggro. Most of the time these creatures are peaceful. And aggressive NPC's on Endor have been aggro'ing me from a greater than 64m distance. My toon got aggro'd by a stormtrooper last night from 90m and he followed me for over 2k. He would've caught up to me if I hadn't done the old burstrun a few times (thanks to ranger). I had to let him catch up and kill me to end the aggro. Ever since the last patch, everything has been irritatingly buggy.

Well, despite pets with new-found independance, and, understandably, the sampling frustration, I kinda like that mobs attack mobs. It had bothered me that only the hyper-vicious creatures would aggro others. The SWG Walkabout now feels more like Wild Kingdom and less like an marginally agressive petting zoo.
Just my 2creds.

Well the thing is, why wait to aggro another creature until after I begin sampling? I mean, I may be around for 10 minutes before I sample, and they'll mingle. The minute I sample, it aggro's soemthing. Or, it'll do a little matrix thing and end up 40m in the air for an extended amount of time.

Well, even though I despise this hate system, it's rather nice to know I'm not the only one encountering this crap.

Must be part of the new "hate" system. It wouldn't surprise me that some of the coding has gone to live as a mini update.
I told my brackaset mount to stay, went to sample voritor dashers with my mask up and jawa beer, when I noticed a picket (non-aggro) attacking my brackaset.
Just one more thing to make creature handlers that much more frustrated.
