Is there a current FAQ that explains the current state of the profession? (the current FAQ seems a tad outdated)
I seem to be struggling finding one source for all my questions, or just trying to find out what info is out there.
For example, I see mentioned N'th generation samples - is this some sort of re-sampling of clones we can do? (I see it as an option when I create a pet in the inventory). What happens to the pet if you can? Does it die sometimes like in the wild?
Also, any guides on what each DNA template section relates to in the final process? I think I once read that each plays a part in its HAM, armour, agressiveness etc - but I can't find that info again.
Last thing (for now hehe) that puzzled me was the role of the organic and meat in the final assembly. With doctors you look for specific stats on various aspects of the resource (like Decay Resistance for Enhances, or OQ and PE for general experimentation limits). Do these values play any role in the final outcome for pets?

I'm also always looking for good FAQs. Talthazar, our correspondant, has a pretty good one at:
http://bioengineer.talthazar.com/
If you sample a BE pet it has some of the same possible results as sampling wild creatures, you get a sample, you fail, you succeed and destroy it, you fail and destroy it. With the cavaet that it's can't aggro on you. I've also noticed that the DNA xp you get are generally less when you resample.
Lots of stuff on what DNA to use in what slots and I don't have a good enough handle on it to say anything to anyone else.
From what I've read the meat/flora plays NO role in the final product. So use the junk stuff you get for pets and save the good stuff for tissues.
