Excellent, Thanks. Was getting a bit disapointed making all these 70ish HAM pets but it was still alot of fun none the less. One more quick question, and sorry there maybe a FAQ on this, but is there a way to tell what you can or cant sample? Like if something is way out of your league on even trying to get a sample from? I pulled that one from Mountain Dewbacks and got some samples from Bocatts (sp?) which I for sure thought would be way to high level for me to get. Im only at DNA Samp I. Many thanks in advance

Hmm, after DNA I or II I got the rest of my sampling xp from Piket Longhorns on Dantooine. I'm not sure if creature level affects your chances when sampling or wether it is purely based on your sampling skill.

Best thing is to try your hand at sampling higher and higher creatures. I still fail sometimes on low level creatures, the only difference I see at master is that I can sample the same creature more and more times and that the quality of the samples is higher (above average to very high quality).

Also, to save getting killed on a failed sample of a higher creature I use the following macro while mounted on a speederbike. If it goes wrong I can usually ride away to safety:

/dismount;
/pause 1;
/sampledna;
/pause 2;
/mount Speederbike;

I ride within 15m, hit the hotkey, start the sample, and then stay 10-15m away from the target. The only time I have ever had a problem is with a creature that had a nasty ranged attack and managed to get a couple of hits on me before I got out of range.

My suggestion is to buy a ticket to Dantooine and look for Pikets to try it on

Alright, exactly what I was looking for. I plugged this thing into a pricing Excel sheet and it came up with worth 37k. To me that sounds way high, but then again what do I know eh? How much would this thing go for? If its worth some money then I may try to sell it. If not then its no big deal. Could really spend the money on some nice supplies. I believe I will give Dat a shot. 37k is more than fair for a pet like that, most non CH pets, maybe twice the HAm, sell for stupid ammounts on some servers...even as much as 200k....so yes, 37k i THINK is a good deal.

OK, while we're on the pricing of BE pets, I made this Kaadu for my own use as a mount/CH XP pet, but what would it sell for?

For your information, most of my DNA samples are from pikets of various flavours, with a few Huurtons, Voritors and some 2nd gneration samples thrown in. Voritors can give ranged attack abilities, but in which slot should I put the DNA? I did it once, but can't remember as I was just throwing the samples in anywhere.

Hi all, I just made Novice BE yesterday and so far its been alot of fun. I've been tinkering around and trying to learn the ropes and made alot of 80ish HAM level 4-5 pets. I know, they're terrible. Then today I decided to get gutsy and try for some real DNA samples and ended up making this pet. Just wondering if its good or not. Also only been playing SWG itself for a week, so go easy on me
