Will people please stop talking about bugged DNA. There isn't any bugged DNA and before you say well what about Kamathira... (yes I know my spelling is off)

The bug was in the CL calculation system, not the DNA. the CL system should work by, adding up HAM and multiplying by a factor. Add up the damage, to hit, and attack speed, multiply by a factor. Add up resists, multiply by a factor. Each special should have a numberic value assigned to it. Armor should have a value assigned to it. Then you put all these factors together and get the CL (template). The Template is then put into a clone and you get the final CL, which is eithor the template CL or the minimum CL of the critter which ever is higher.

This is how the systemshould beworking, except its not. If the system worked like this there would have been no problems with uber clones and it would leave a decent amount of room to custom tailor pets. Yuo want more HAM and less attacks we can do that. you want a pit bull on crack that dies in one shot, we can do that.

I don't really understand what sort of system that did work out for calculating CL but its all out of wack. the effectiveness stat which dosen't show up in the DNA seemed to do wacky thigns as did vulnerabilities. So as you can see its not DNa from critter X that is of, its the CL calculation system.

it is the variables in specific DNA's that cause the calculations to go awry... hence the fact that the DNA is considered bugged...

Hmmm....I noted pre-hotfix that I would get up to 45% resistances from Kamurith DNA by experimenting up even though they show 0% in all effectivenes and special areas. Post hotfix I can't get above the 0% using the DNA.

ThatWAS a bug, and one coming from the particular DNA.

The fact that effectiveness experimented resistance didn't seem to add to the finished CL was yet another BUG.

Actually it had nothing to do with DNA, you could make an uber pet from any high level DNA in ohysique and 4 trash dna's in the rest.

The only difference was a "special protection" resist cannot be experimented up, but an "effectiveness" resist could. Still that way btw.

So Nocious Kams, merek death heads, tybis, baz nitch, and any of the other vast array of creatures with "effectiveness" resists in kinetic could be experimented up to 48% with no rise in CL.

You ALSO make a cl10 uber pet with "special protection" resists in the dna, they just lock down to the initial combine levels. Which using something like a merek harvester and 4 trash dna's still gave you excellent CL10 uber pets.

Thus it was the system itself no raising CL with resists and HAM during experimentation that was the issue.

"bugged dna" is a total myth. Bugged cloning system at the root of the cloning CL caculations is what we saw.
