I went to Darthomir last night trying to sample Rancors. During the process I ran across a Gaping spider queen so I sampled it, got 4 DNAs out of her before she died. I proceed to sample some Rancors for like 20 DNAs before I went back to the outpost. Get to a bio station and start crafting, put 2 GSQ DNA in the first 2 slots and then 3 Rancor's in the other 3, hoping to get a nice kinetic (65 on Queen) with light armor, guess what? the resulting template got only 320 in fortitute!! I maxed the physics and still not able to get the light armor!! ARGH!! yes, the resulting aggression is way high and the psychology is low....that might be the reason....I tried it again with my last 2 Queen DNAs, still the same....I was pulling my wookie hairs out the whole night, what is the deal? I look at the rancor's fortitute and its518 to 520....I will NOT use rancor DNA anymore with other high kinetic DNA, this combo basically <b>SUCKS</b>.

I'd say put the GSQ DNA in slots 3-4-5 and rancor in 1-2 . might work better.

Were you using the public crafting station?

I have had good sucess with both GSQ and most types of Rancor DNA. With the exception of Rancor Youths you shouldn't have a problem passing armour on to clones with that DNA.

The first slot is for physique, which is about 60% of your fort score, prowise and Aggression makye up most of the rest of it.

Put Rancor DNA in slots 1,2,5, then experiment in physique until your fort score is 500 to get armor. If you want tobe riskier, put rancor in slot 1and 2 and GSP in slot 5, this will give some resists on top of the armor, and with luck a poison attack. You will have to experiment more in physique to get the armor back.

What is wrong with the public crafting station? What do you suggest otherwise? I have a surgical droid, but don't think it has any special abilities, and I can craft near it also.

Id definatly use the droid. I find that droids have less crits than private stations anyways, much less public ones.

Public crafting stations aren't very good.... try to find a private crafting station or a good droid engineer to make you a droid with a Food/Chem crafting stations. Not knowing what the best answer is, I use both at the same time as often as possible.

Your mistake was putting the GSQ dna in the first 2 slots. Fortitude comes from Slot 1, 40%, and slots 2 and 5, 25% each. So, fortitude was about 65% from GSQ and 35% from Rancor. GSQ has no armor and 30% effectiveness. Armor is equiavalent to 50% effectiveness.

Since the GSQ has 65% Kinetic Special Protection, put it in slot 2, with Rancor DNA in slots 1 and 5. Damage comes from slot 5, mostly, with good contributions from 1 and 4. So, Rancor dna in 1 and 5, and possibly 4, will give great damage. The GSQ in slot 2 will raise the Kinetic above the Rancor's 30%, without causing you to lose armor.

OMG, is this what it is? I tho GSH came with light armor and the Queen should at least came with it. If this is the case, then I faburred up bad myself, fortitute will not add up to light armor I am sure since I put 2 in the slot 1 and 2, that will drag down the number.

The Gaping Spider Hunter has light armor, but the Queen does not. It should say that right on the DNA. You can also check the Fortitude of the DNA itself before you use it, it should be greater than 500. Check the DNA and use the ones with the highest quality and highest Fortitude in the first 2 slots, and the 5th just to be safe. Then you will get armor with spending the least number of experimentation points in Physique.
