To make it look like the formula you needed to find those konstants:
Health=z*dex+a*intelligense+h
But you have no idea wheather its + , - , ^ or something else, how many Variables in the formula, and how they are placed ?
Does this formula calculations come down to a matter of you guessing, and just using the most precise guess, or is there some advanced math calc somewhere?
JettShadow - I am also gathering data to runregression on. Did youuse Minitab?
Also I would love to know how you factored in quality of samples and success rates. That may be more then what others want so feel free to send me a PM.

I have been meaning to do this as well, but I wanted my BE skills to be better so I had more variation in my samples. I would be very interested to see your findings on all the stats.
Hello all, this is just using the linear regression capabilities of Excel (and other) spreadsheets. To use it, you need a list of values on the DNA templates and the final Health Action and Mind that the template produces. The function then computes the constants for health = a * hardiness + b * fortitude + c * dexterity ... and so on for all the template values. It's just that the other constants are so close to zero, I decided that they probably ARE zero in the real SWG formula. Hope this helps. You can learn more about regression analysis in the spreadsheet's help documentation or in a junior-level statistics textbook. The important thing, like in any scientific endeavor, is to keep meticulous records, and hope the rules are changing too much as you go ![]()

p.s. I'm guessing thatthe creature level is closely related to some function of (total HAM, resists)plus (plus!?!) some function of the damage rate (i.e. damage * to_hit / seconds_per_hit)but the deviations are large enough that I know I've not got that function down yet.
Also, if the flora and meat quality in the final combine changed things, this analysis would be worthless. Fortunately, it appears not to be so.
In testing on some level 55-70 (well, 75--but I call Mulligan on that one)pets, the formula works well. It wasusually within +/- 40 of what I ended up with. A common theme was that of the 3 HAM final values, one would be basically right on, one would be +40ish, one would be -40ish.
