Hi,
I have been working on pets with strong poison and strong disease specials (like a death's head), but recently when a Death's Head decided it didn't particularly like me helping myself to its genetic material I got diseased by it.
What surprised me was how slow acting the disease was. Sure it didn't subside but it was only about 6 health wound every so often, pretty bad for me (especially as I logged out later still diseased and when I logged in I had no disease but also only 1 health and over 1000 health wounds, yikes!).
Anyway the question is - is this typical for disease because if so it makes it pretty useless (I think) in pve, so would I be better switching to say strong poison/intimidate or strong poison/blind as my specials.
Any insight most appreciated.

Strong disease *is* useless in pve. It's somewhat desirable in pvp just for the grief that it causes others. Seriously, most of the time I'd rather die than have a strong disease put on me, and although I don't pvp I'm sure I'd feel the same way if I did.

Thanks,
I can sympathise with "rather die". Fortunately we can make our own health wound medicine, but it still took ages to get my health back.
I think I will alter my plans and make strong poison/intimidate creatures. (Picket Longhorns fear me!)

Knockdown/Dizzy also, I have been getting tons of requests for them. THere is a Voritor on Dantoonine that has something like that. Mix that with some BMB DNA and you get an awesome armored pet with around 11K HAM

Mixing Mutant Rancor and Rancor Youth DNA get's you a high level pet with Dizzy/KD (if you use VHQ Youth DNA)... Have fun getting samples though heh
