Well, sad as I am to say...I have decided to give up this fine profession. I had a lot of fun during my tenure, just decided I wanted to try my hand at other professions. That being said, I have a whole lot of DNA leftover from my days of harassing the critters. Rather than making a bunch of pets and selling those, I decided to give some of my fellow BE's on Intrepid a bone. Especially those that aren't masters yet...and can't get thehigher quality samples.

All told, there are 81 samples. Wide variety of critters, something for just about every occasion. We'll see how the formatting works here lol

As you can see I liked to hunt the Bark Mite Burrower Queens Oh, and there are 2 or 3 2nd generation samples in there. Pretty nice stats.

Anyway...auction runs through midnight on Monday 4/26. Just to be clear, that means one minute after 11:59 PM on the 26th, this is over.

Auction is taking place on the Trade Forum here

Have fun, and I hope you enjoy being an evil scientist as much as I did!

Auctioning off samples cause you're quitting profession? When I was a newb BE, I had thistotal strangercome along who had recently given up MBE and we chatted a few minutes before he went off to a hunt. He ended up telling me to meet up with him at his house and he'd give me his leftover samples as he wouldn't be needing them anymore. All told there were over 200 samples, mostly highend and VHQ/HQ, and he gave them as a gift for having expressed my appreciation of the class andafter having my MCH (since August)on another server, wanting to get into the crafting side of the pets.

There's no real point to this post, other than I guess your auction announcement rubbed me the wrong way and I thought I'd post what that decent person did for me with his leftover samples.

Fair enough...and I do think that I've done my part to the community over my time. *shrug* To tell the truth, I haven't run across any up and coming BE's that ever asked me even the simplest of questions while running around with my master tag up. Heck, the past month all I ever got conversation wise was "Can you train sampling I?"

You are entitled to your opinion, and honestly I do share it to an extent. Had some new BE come to me just a week ago, these would have been his. But now...we'll see how this goes.

I have3 pre-Master BEs that I mentor on Intrepid.

You'd be far better off selling the samples on Intrepid Galaxy Trade. You won't get many takers here. And you also may want to split them up into groups of samples ortherwise you're not going to get what they are worth.

Good luck though.

Thank you for not being offended as my post was not meant to. Good luck with your auction.

Oh, yeah...that's where the real auction is. Just thought I'd post a note in here. And as I said, this is more of a "Clearance Sale" type of thing. If I was worried about value out of them, I would have made pets and sold those off. Much easier to sell pets to the masses....

I wish I had found more pre-master BE's in my time. I know I ran across quite a few back when I sold DNA samples on my vendor. But those have all grown, and many have moved on. Replaced for a time with the hologrinders. Shame, because this can (and often is) such a fun profession. There were just other things I wanted to try, and not enough skill points to do it all (already sacrificed Ranger...*sniff*)

I do hope all of the best for my ex-profession mates. I'm sure I will be lurking here quite a bit, keeping tabs on things. And who knows...some day I may just be silly enough to go through that grind again. Can never have enough green coffee to fill my house
