Laff, you are probably doing just FINE. DNA does not have the same value on 900 that other crafting materials do. In fact, if you got a sample with all 900's it would make an unusable pet !!! Look for hardiness above 600-700 for the high level pets but it all depends what you combine it with to tell you the truth, as well as how you experiment on it. I put together a template from all dathomir high level animals - I think level 75's and 70's and got a level 84 which is unusable since the highest a CH can tame is 70.

The previous reply IS correct - it doesdepend on your DNA sampling level - but if you are a master BE, dathomir's craggy bolmas are very nice ... does anyone else have any recommendations of specific animals for Laff to sample?

There was a RUMOR that they might be introducing DNA sampling SEA's into the game???!!! Did you get one??? Other than that, nothing much will help with the sampling except that tree of BE and the master box.

I dont know your bioenginer skill level so im going to give ya this info here. The better your dna sample level the better your sample will be . You will still see different levels at master but willl see verry high ,high ,above average . Also at master lv if i have alot of samples done . I will tend to use the verry high ones first in pet creation , this will give me a decent pet .

I found yavin to be a good place. klikniks(sp?) are always from lvl 70 to 75 depending on the type.

Apologies for being dense. Of course the quality of the DNA has an effect on the stats. I misunderstood the question completely. I think.

Here are 2 samples I took last night:

Malkoc - CL75 - 966/841 854/918 151/852 746/246 363/581 - AA
Malkoc - CL75 - 973/849 862/914 158/866 751/248 369/589 - H

uh, i guess the stats are better on the high quality one but they seem very close to me. How much increase in stats can one expect to see in better quality DNA? I'd always had the impression that the individual creature was what made the difference but I am frequently wrong ...

I was a 4/4/4/3 on friday and, up to that point, had not been able to take a single 'very high quality" sample (out of around 250 samples. I'm respec'd).

I mastered BE on Satruday and the first sample I took was 'very high quality'.

There is a range with each quality, and 1 stat in an AA might be higher than another on a VHQ. The overall stats will be higher on the VHQ.The range is also tied to the creature (not just the type), so a AA from one makloc could be better than a VHQ from a different makloc. So there is also VHQ samplesand some exceptional VHQ sampleswhere certain stats are 10or morehigher than the norm. For a makloc you can find high 590s for powerin a goodVHQ. This used to be more important so that people only saved the VHQ, and then only the VHQ that were really good. I think using all VHQ does help you experiment to get higher values tho. When specials return, VHQ will be more important again.

Seems like the Ryatt Trail on Kashyyk would be a good place to sample DNA. Lots of critters on each trail - varying anywhere from level 48 and up.

Plus if your mask scent breaks and you get triple incapped, you just clone right back at the start of the trail with no wounds or decay and get right back to sampling.

Of course, I'm only at DNA Sampling 3 so far, and haven't been able to sample anything that high yet - so I can't really speak to the quility of anything there myself.

It's my understanding that we are unable to sample DNA on Kashyyyk.

I've grinded out box 2 and 3 on the varactyls and kashyyk banthas at the Rodian Hunter Camp POI...so no problem on that planet. In fact, I seem to have much more success there than I do on any other planet.

that'd be a misunderstanding.

I've been using kash DNA since the CU/RotW beta.

Sweet. Good to know I was given the wrong info. I look forward to going over there and sampling

Is the dna any good? I've only spent 1/2 hour on Kashyyyk.
