Ok first off yes i just respec'd BE since my server has a surplus of DE/Shipwrites i thought id give out BE a try. So now im MBE and tailor 4400. I try making some clothing enhancements and i get

20 units of creature food

I tried what i thought was creature food but obviously i was wrong. What do i need for creature food.

I do hope that being a respec i can get help with this, i know alot of you ground this the old way but im looking at the shortage of things on my server and trying to actually contribute something.

thanks, also accepting any other tips on BE as well.

technically speaking, creature food I believe is meat/seafood/egg/milk

In practical terms, creature food = carnivore meat

Been awhile since you hunted huh?

Actually there are very few meats that are hard to get in bulk now - due to 'scaled missions' The only ones you can't get in bulk are those without missions available, such as Eopie (Tat domestic).

For example:

Corellian Carni meat happens to be 900OQ 950PE 925FL

You are a CL80 player and grab the Carrion Spat mission...

Every creature in the lair (cept babies) will be CL80 or close to it, and will yield CL80 harvests.

So instead of getting 30-40 units off a spat pre-CU, you can snag 200-300 units off a CL80 spat now. Harvest quantities are now tied to the creatures CL, not bodystyle as before.

On the flip side - a CL40 Rancor may only drop 100-150 units, while a CL80 would drop 300+

Also, a CL40 player would pull CL40 missions and so on. If you are in a group of 8 and CL80 - you will get 8 times as many creatures spawned per lair too. Picture 2 dozen spats giving 300 units of meat each kill. No more 400cpu avian meat.

I've cut my payouts on meats in half since the CU and I have not had one complaint or issue getting meat contracts filled.

The second commandment of crafting:

"And Thou shalt Memorize the Resource Tree and Keep it Wholely"

Schematics can require any resource category (although I don't think every one is actually used in the current schematic list), and within that slot you can put any resource that belongs to any subcategory listed to the right of it. So a "Creature Food" slot can be filled by meat, milk, seafood, or eggs (each of those with their own sub-categories). Of course, different types have different difficulty in gathering the resource, Dath Carnivore meat is generally the easiest creature foodto get in big stacks, due to Rancor hunts.
