Thread: Best Animal to Sample from
What is the best animal out there to sample from?
My server is bloodfin and I live on Dant. but I travel all over for harvestor supplies.
I know grassland and slithering voritors have some pretty good DNA.
By far, the creature whose DNA I use the most of all is the Bark Mite Burrower on Endor. It has 65% Kinetic resist and 40% energy resist plus light armor. Its only breedable special is Strong Disease but that can be remedied by putting something else in Aggression to set the special attacks.
For high level creatures I use Bull Rancor DNA. Since you can pull Bull Rancor missions, its easy to collect.
For special attacks, I use Vexed Voritor Lizards for Knockdown / Dizzy and Merek's Death Heads for Strong Poison / Strong Disease.
I have been doing piket missions since I usually take a BH with me to protect me. LOL
I am not so much of a BE noob, have 2/1/4/1 and well 25k in XP. I plan opn finishing clone engineering and then work t the right on the skills chart.
Just I have been experimenting with different DNA things since I have experiment pts now and cant mess around. Its rather fun I think. But still thanks for the info guys!

Bark mite burrower Queens are the most balanced DNA in the game IMO 
They make amazing pets ! Great specials too 
Mutant Rancor DNA has very limited uses. If you use all Mutant Rancor DNA you get a pet too high level to use. Its best use is to boost the resists, HAM, and damageon really high level (CL60-70) clones when mixed with BMB or FG DNA or something else to set the specials in place. The problem with mutant rancor DNA is how long it takes to collect it. At best you can expect to get 2 DNA sampels per hour or Mutant Rancor DNA sampling on Dathomir. And then on top of all that it only has 40% Kinetic resist and evey CH I talk to expect 60% kinetic resist on any high level pet you create for them.
I also concurr that BMB Queen is EXCLLENT DNA. Probably the most well rounded high level DNA in the game. About half of the time I do BMB sampling runs I can find a MBM Queen lair in the nearby area.
With BMBs or Bull Rancors you can pull a pair of missions for them in the same direction about 500-800m away from each other and jsut keep running back and forth between the lairs for new spawns. I can collect about 40 MBM or Bull Rancor samples in just a couple hours of sampling.
Merek Harvesters are easy sicne there is a static spawn point for them and it makes for good PvE pets with light armor and high kinetic, it just sucks that they are vulnerable to energy since thats the #2 resist needed for NPC PvE hunting.
