Ok. For the past week I have been getting ambushed by somebody wanting a special order as soon as I log on. The conversation usually goes something like this...

Customer: Hey...I need you to make me a lvl 20 Kimo with medium armor, 15k HAM, 80% resists to everything, and a couple of awesome specials....and I need it in the next 20 minutes.

Me: I don't believe that pet could be made, but I am certainly willing to get as close as I can to whatever you need. Perhaps if you would send me an email telling me the level of pet you can control, what situations you use the pet in and any specific types of pets you would like I could let you know how close I think I can get and quote you a price.

Customer: What do you mean you can't do that? You're a Master BE arent you?

Me: Yes.

Customer: Well...my buddy on [insert your choice of server here] got one of those so I know it can be made.

Me: I see. Well....I'm sorry, but I do not know how any such creature could be made, but I do have lots of other creatures on my vendor you might want to look at to get a better idea of the kind of things I can make.

Customer: Send me waypoint

Me: There ya go. [Email with wp attached sent]

Customer: HAM on these [insert creature with reduced creature level here] suxors.

Me: I have lots of creatures with higher levels that have higher HAM as well, but when I reduce the creature level the other stats do tend to suffer somewhat.

Customer: These prices are too high too. My friend on [insert your choice of server here] gets creatures way better than this for about 10k.

Me: I'm sorry, but I think my prices are fair and my sales are pretty brisk so I don't think too many people disagree.

Customer: Well...I will give you 10k for this level 55 Rancor with Armor.

Me: No. I can't do that

Customer: You [insert your choice of expletive here] merchant types are all the same. Always ripping everyone off by overcharging.

Me: Thank you. Have a nice day.

I'm sorry, but I am getting fed up. This constant bombardment by players wanting everything in the world for next to nothing is just silly. I don't mind some haggling or even some price comparisons, but this non-specific, time wasting, mind numbing type of exchange is getting more common and more annoying.

How do you guys deal with this? I am considering just going permanently afk.

Customer: hey

BE: hey

Customer: I just bought a pet that has armor and 60% kinetic resists, you got anything like that?

BE: my vendor is at xxx yyy

Customer: great, omw

BE: np

Customer: I'm at your vendor now, but there's nothing here like I described

BE: there are a lot of pets on my vendor.

Customer: I know, but not exactly what I'm looking for

BE: sorry

Customer: np, can you make me one then?

BE: there's a lot involved in making a good pet

Customer: I understand that, I can get back with you in a few days if you'll make it.

BE: any pets that I make will just go the vendor, just keep checking there

Customer:why isn't anyone willing to fill a "custom" order?

BE: because the vendor will empty out just as fast, someone else will buy it.

Customer: so basically, If I'm not standing there when you fill the vendor I'm screwed because you wont make something "custom" for me?

BE: yep

Customer: that sucks

BE: yep

Step 1) /aadignore bozo.

Step 2) /ban bozo from an shop you have.

Step 3) Send an email to guild mates, friends, business partners suggesting they do steps 1 & 2.

Step 4) If they really annoy you start a people to not do business with thread on you server. (Assuming there isn't one already) and put bozo on the list.

Step 5) If they say something truly hostile/offensive send in a report to a CSR. (won't do any good but if enough of these get sent in about the same bozo, maybe something will happen)

Wow, you have the ultimate pain in the arse customer there.

First off, I've learned the absolute limit to each creature for their minimum CL (kimo's are CL40) period. If someone has a creature with a lower lvl then that, it's an exploit in my book.

Secondly, once they startcomplaining aboutthe pricing, I let them know that:

A) there are other Bio Engineers, go haggle with them.

B) if their "friend" got such a GREAT deal, then go through them, stop harassing me.

C) don't EVEN start in on me about pricing whenmany people (including our pain in the arse)have paid upwards of 4 million credits for a holocron or 10million for a rifle.

I do not take special orders for CH pets. At all, not even for guildies or friends.

I still have a vendor with pets that Iwanted to make that are CH level and lots of people are happy with these. I also have a sign that states the following:

"If you do not agree with my prices or my wares,please go elsewhere and do not bother sending me a tell."

Some people will say this is bad business practice, but at this point I do not care. They can flame me, drag my name down in the dirt, tell everyone they know not to shop through me. That's fine. I have lots of people who appreciate the work I do and know that I am always stocked with what they need.

I do not do business with people who:

A) use the word Suxor

B) are rude or harassing. (sorry if they're doing that as soon as you log in, everytime you log in, that's harassment in my book) They end up on my ban list and my ignore list.

Bio Engineers have worked too dang hard to be cheapened and degraded by people like this. Do not tolerate it otherwise you will begin to hate your profession and that is not fair to yourself.
