My alt Truls is a master BE. I don't even sample for exp anymore obviously, so I am out doing my thing trying to make some decent non-ch pets. I was sampling from CL17 stuff and get attacked 3x ina row, followed by getting attack by a CL24 2x in a row. It seems like this should be easier at master BE.

Also, the sampling rate for sampling clonesshould be a LOT higher. This failure rate is crap. I seem to be getting less and less all the time. I use a bearded jax to hold my generational DNA which is the lowest CL you can get and I still fail constantly and get maybe 2 DNA if I am lucky. What the hell is the deal?

lower CL stuff has an intrinsically higher chance of poofing, just as higher CL stuff has an intrinsically higher chance of failing to extract a sample successfully.

Well I have to ask if you're using mask scent, because it helps alot and if you're doing pet making you practically HAVE to have it. As for the failure rate for Pets i've heard that there's a chef item that decreases failure rate (or rather increases assembly), can't remember the name now (pollyian cake?), but i've heard it helps alot if you're having that much trouble with stuff.

Never used pyollian cake, although I would recommend avoid crafting near MOBs - I was using 3 MR samples in Bestine using my droid and then I was attacked by one of Jabba's guards or whatever. Of course, the session was cancelled while I was in experimentation the samples were lost for ever. How fun.

I learned that lesson the hard way too. I'll still do it with 1st gen pets, like if I go to Dant for some entry-level pets. Nothing to fit the image of the nutty professor like crafting while a Dark Jedi Master is fighting 30 people not 20m away.

Pyollian Cake is good stuff but the bonus only applies on the assembly role.
