okay, any help here would be greatly appreciated...

Looking to make mounts for my mostly non-ch guild, and was wondering if there was a way to design creatures that were under the requisite level for non-ch mounts, or is it random depending on the quality of the engineered creature?

Thanks for the help.

Read the FAQ, there is a sure fire (or at least near enough) recipe for creating CL10 pets that have decent resists, HAM etc.

The CL is dependent on many things (I believe someone outlined the weightingsin another post) but the important things to remember is that, the more vulnerabilities you have the LOWER the CL will be and also that the the lower damage, the LOWER the CL will be. Donor DNA CL doesn't always effect it - it's generally the different properties of it that does.

it depends on what DNA you use and where you experiment, but no, you cant deliberately, or at least directly, confine a creature to CL10. If you just want to make a bunch of mounts for your friends, though, there are some guaranteed CL10 recipes that yield good results. VD VD HP HP HP 1 point in Phys and Psych is my go-to.
