In the FAQ stickied at the top of this thread, in #8, Making a BE pet 2, by Mirrl, there is a list of minimum levels for skins. Thune weighs in at level 15. Your BE was correct.

You might want to take a look at the list, since it will help you to choose another skin. It can be found here:
Minimum Creature Levels for Skins

Oh, and you may want to scroll down to Sumorex's list.

It seems to me that the one-starring can be nothing but pure malice in this case.

i think as soon as someone mentions that the answer has been answered already in the FAQ then you get automatically one starred. It's impossible to be helpful these days without someone thinking that you're treating them like a jackass. I use a 'go to your trade forum' macro because I am so sick of having to write out all the possible places to look, when really all they had to do was read the stickies at the top of the forum.

The sad thing is that the person who asked the question realized I was trying to help him find a good resource for making his pet decision, and even posted a nice "thank you." Whoever decided to pass judgment wasn't even in the conversation.

I wasn't reprimanding in any way--especially for that list. I wouldn't have found the list if I were a customer, and I do typically read FAQ's. I try to skip over all the profession-specific parts, unless it is my profession. This information was in the "pet creation" part of the FAQ, so I really wouldn't expect a potential customer to find it without being directed.

Even so, it's a very useful list for potential customers. I wish there were some way to post it behind every pet vendor.

I have seen on some vendors where people have written out some FAQs and available skins as a product description on a backpack on sale for 999,999,999. Merely titled as *** READ ME FIRST *** -it can grab the attention of the user and make sure that they dont waste your time and ours.

NB: just make sure you copy and paste your 'FAQ' to notepad first and save a copy, it doesnt get saved once the item becomes an unsuccessful auction.

Good thought Zadokk. I have a six-sided cube with a special name directing to the product description already. Perhaps I should make another one called "Pet Buyers Beware. Read this description!"

There have been several "in-game communications needs" threads in these forums suggesting signs, bulletin boards, etc. Honestly, I'm a little tired of armor segments with no word wrap.

Backpacks have word wrap and you can color the text too. I love them as decorative items. If you use the travel pack and move it into the wall a bit, it looks like a plaque.

READ ME's on vendors rock. They are so useful sometimes. I've yet to use one since I'm still developing my stock. When it comes time to repost the item though, doesn't the description vanish? Or can you copy / paste it from the stockroom?

Tossed this together for a skins Read Me if anyone wants to use it (aggressive skins in red, others in green):

Do you have any idea how many characters will fit on a backpack?

I routinely use color in product names, and also in backpack names, but I hadn't realized they could take such a long name.
