A number of professions work well with BE
Any combat profession (to get your own meat)
Chef
Tailor
Creature Handler
Ranger
There's a very comprehensive FAQ sticked at the top, I suggest you go through it. It should answer many questions you may not know you had.

As Halthorn said, it's totally dependent on what you want to do.
Chef/BEcan be avery demanding profession as chef is a very competitive field (and you have to buy a LOT of meat).
Tailor/BE less demanding, but with less responsibility comes less income (ArthurDent has this prof)
Rifleman(or tka, pistoleer etc)/BE means you can harvest your own meat, kill a creature if it agros you and still take part in PvE/PvP functions.
Ranger/BE lets you track the animals you want and harvest high levels of meat, just as long as you combine some combat skills with it (e.g. TKA 0040)

CH/BE lets you make your own pets, and use them to protect you in the wild as well as offering more informed advice to your customers as well as mounting pets for non-chs (nice little side business)
Musician/BE was NancyJ's template (previous correspondant) and I believe she had a blast hanging out in cantinas chatting to people
Doctor/BE lets you make top quality pet stims, as well as all the things that being doctor brings with it. Means you will have to buy a LOT of meat.

I am thinking about creating a BE on Wanderhome and I am curious as to what other proffessions work well with BE? Also, what is the best way to xp as a novice BE? I do not know much about BE so I am trying to read as much into it as possible before I commit.
