As I'm running around on Starsider healing random people (I absolutely refuse to use a stupid monkey), I've made a few interesting observations.
It's been about 5-6 months since I dropped Doctor to move to Starsider. Now that I'm ready to start leveling Doctor a lot has changed from the first and second time I mastered Doc.
A year ago I was able to sit in a Medcenter for almost the whole time. Fighting with Novices medics and Doctors just to get a heal on a person. The leveling process has gone from flaming pets and other players to the way of Tumble monkeys and Rez junkies. Such a shame. On that note I have witnessed some piss poor customer service from many Medics and wanna be "Doctors". Dedicating 99.9999% of their time wasting stims and rez kits and totally ignoring the wounded that do actually go to the Med Centers. Which is very rare in my experiece as of late.
It seems that now I spend more time running around *looking* for people to heal(Thank *god* for JTL) and when I dofind one, they are shocked and amazed that I'm not using a tumbler. Infact I've had many people comment as to why I'm not using one. Probably 50% of the people I heal don't even realize I'm doing it until they see me healing someone else or I send them a tell as they run away. The other 50% say thanks and tip.
I've asked a few people why they don't go into Medcenters to get healed, and the most frequantly used answer is : "I picked up TK so I wouldn't have to hunt for someone to heal me." The second answer is "It's faster to stand in a buff line and hope the Doctor does it."
What amazes me the most is that I started Novice Medic the same time another guy did. He spent 23 hours spending money on stims and healing a monkey before he mastered Medic. Me, I chose to run around and actually heal people; crafting while I wait. I ended up Mastering Medic in a little over 12 hours without using a single stim on a monkey. By the time I mastered Medic, I already had 2 crafting blocks in Doctor and make over 50k selling crappy stims on the bazaar. The other guy at 12 hours was just starting his crafting line, had spent over 100k on stims and resources. Granted I've done this 3 times now and I've been harvesting resources for about 4 months preping for Doctor, it's still funny why people waste money paying for stuff they should just craft (Stim b's for those monkey trainers).
Another thing I find very interesting is the fact that Buffs are no nothing more the legalized Crack right now. People are so addicted to buffs it makes me laugh. People will stand in Cnet for hours screaming "ANY DOCS CAN BUFF!!! I PAY WELL".But the funny part to me is the "pay well" comment. Because everyone knows the first thing out of their mouth is "how much". haha. But instead of just picking up some missions and running unbuffed, they will waste time waiting for a Doc to come in and "set up shop". But with all stats Migrated into mind I wouldn't go hunting a Nuna unbuffed either.

I guess what I'm getting at is this game, and especially this profession has really changed. And in my opinion not in a very positive way. Hopefully the CU will change all that, and bring us "support" classes back into play and get us away from the "/shout Buffing XXXX for XXX hours!! Cost XXXXX credits" way of play we are currently in.
I really think that if the CU does everything the Devs are hinting at, a lot of people are gonna be in for a huge "Culture Shock".
