Hi, i have a little question about factories........... when you make schematics, you get a bar to set the manufacturing limit. is this the minimum or just the maximun? also, when things have components, does the schematic have to be made with the same power components?

The manufacturing limit is the maximum the factory will attempt to make. The max is 1000 units. When a schematic has sub components the factory will require identical sub-components. That means they have to have the same serial number, which means those sub-components must have been made in a factory themselves.

You have to use identical components/ resources in factories, in fact you have to use the exact same ones that you used to create the schematic with. You can put factory cratesof pre-made components into the input hopper- for instance, if you're making pet stims then you can put crates of Adv Bio's/Chems etc into the input hopper along with the same resource that you used.
The schematic number isthe numberof items that will be created before the schematic is destroyed. Really, you should keepit at 1000 unless you're selling the schematic.

Aha. /doh. so, this means the schematics i made for advanced bio effect controller and chem release won't work? i made them with hand made components.........

Well if you get a schem from someone else then you will need to get the exact same resources also.

/doh sigh. how can i go and get one then? if i use the schematics for my components, then put those in a factory, craft them, and use 1 of them to craft a schematic, can I then use this schematic in a factory?

Here's what you need to do to craft a crate of pet stims:
make a schematic for advanced bio effect controllers
insert materials in factory
make crates of ABEC
make a schematic for advanced liquid suspensions
insert materials in factory
make crates of ALS
make a schematic for advanced chemical duration
insert materials in factory
make crates of ACDRM
remove a crate of ABEC, a crate of ALS, a crate of ACDRM and use those to create a schematic for pet stims. Put all those crates in the input hopper and make your crates of pet stims.
You can of course buy crates of ABEC, ALS, and ACDRM from doctors and they'll be higher quality.

You're not understanding, but that's ok.
You need identical subcomponents for your petsitms, to get these they need to be created in a factory (so they have the same serial number). so you can either:
- make the schematic for them yourself, make them in your factory, take the crates that are created and use those in your schematic for your stims.
- OR- you can get the resources needed to make the subcomponents and have a medic or doc create the schematic for you and then run that schematic in your factory to create the subcomponents
- OR- you buy the subcomponents from a medic or doc and just ensure they are all from the same factory run (and therefore the same serial number)
