If you want to make pets, then resources won't be much of an issue since the final stats will be determined by the DNA you get from wild creatures. I don't make pets myself (nor do I know enough about them), so I'm not qualified to offer an opinion on their marketability.
If you're planning to make meds....then you're going to run into the same problems you already have since all of the meds (especially the enhancers) require at least some uncommon resource. The med resources probably won't be as expensive as the AS ones, however. I paid a LOT to acquire the best resources on my server and generally I was able to pay in the 8-20cpu range (justtwo resources over 20....21 cpu for some Eleton Reactive gas and 30cpu for some Insect Meat).
I don't know how competitive your server's market for meds, nor what resources you can get ahold of. But I'd guess that if you can make 1150 power/15 charge StimD's or better you'll probably find a market for them. For stims you'll definately want to get ahold of some high (900+) OQ Tatooine Fiberplast and some high (again, 900+) OQ & PE seeds (which includes, 'fruit', 'berries' & 'flowers', though flowers have a cap on PE, I think) as those resources are used on the final combine and will have the most effect on your stats.
