Thread: BE change

What other profession requires two novice professions to become a elite profession except forCommando, BHand Smuggler. BE needs to have the scout requirement removed. I would dare say most BE's do not use DNA sampling. And those who do would rather have Exploration then Hunting in the Scout skill box anyways. BE as a crafting professions needs to be put in line with other crafting professions and only require 1 novice skill (medic).


Examples, I would like to be BE and Chef with some merchant skills, problem is i can only get up to Novice Merchant because of the Scout requirement box. This is a real restriction for us BE's who only want to craft enhancers, Bio's and stimpacks but have no desire to DNA sample.


Another example is those who need to pick up Novice BE for base take downs, requiring scout limits the combat templete of said player.


This Issue should definatly be taken to the Dev's. Right now BE's have higher requirements then any other crafting profession. Make Scout opitonal to those who wish to DNA sample. That way those who only like to craft dont get screwed.

Don't try to speak for everyone, it looks to me that more people are crafting or learning to craft pets than are making other stuff, but that's just how i look at it because i prefer the creature side And those who do would rather have Exploration then Hunting in the Scout skill box anyways.That still wouldn't change the 2 novice box pre-reqs BE as a crafting professions needs to be put in line with other crafting professions and only require 1 novice skill (medic). It is a crafting proffession, yes, but a crafting proffession that needs to be in dangerous situations for a large part of its job, thus we get a few combat levels above what a normal crafter has in exchange for having to spec another novice box, take away the scout novice box and they will take away whatver CL we now have.

Well if you only want to craft stims and bio's then only be an XXX4 BE that's all you need, you have all your schems at that level and all your exp points, problem solved

That's the price they pay for trying to add something to their template to make themselves specialised, you specialise you lose in other areas, it's the same in life

It's been taken to the devs more times than i have sat on the porceleine throne, every time they give us the finger and say 'no chance in hell'






The ONLY way i would agree to them removing the scout requirements would be if they gave BE's a form of mask scent in the BE trees that was superior to Master Scout mask scent.

Could not agree more. BE is a crafting proffession, you get no combat skills from BE.Why doesNovice BErequire 29 skillpoints more than any other elite crafting novice.

It's going to be interesting to see how the scout mask scent abilities are re-allocated when its removed from Ranger.

Actually you have some benefits from the scout part and I have scout4040 with medic0004.

I think the problems started removing the doc's crafting and moving it to BE.

I feel if you have combat profession type requirements, then you should get some type of combat benefits.

Hmm didnt know that, thought i Needed to be Master Bio Engineer in order to get my 10 pt's for experimenting. Have to look into that, thanks for the info..

Nope all the experimentation points are in the last line, all that is in the master box is a few more pet skines anda coupleoftissues.
