can anyone tell mewhere to findthe protein base and other things involed in crafting a pet any help would be great

Firstly, u need a DNA template. You can make one of these from any 5 DNA samples u extract from creatures. (Choosing the right creatures and getting the samples is the interesting part of pet making)
Once you have made your 'Generic DNA Template', you need to insert it into a creature. Pick the creature you want from your available schematics, and add a little bit of meat and some flora (I suspect this is the bit where you are getting confused) as well as your template.
This means there are 3 steps to making a pet.
1. Collect DNA (& Resources).
2. Assemble Generic DNA Template using 5 DNA samples.
3. Assemble Skin using Generic DNA Template and Resources.
(NB. Resource stats dont matter in the final outcome, only the DNA in the template)
