I wouldnt be for it simply because itsa huge plus for BEsthat we cansell pets on a vendor, which is the only true plus of this system for the CH besides being able to save rare pets or ones you're simply attached to. There would bepeople who would take up CH anddeed pets and throw up a vendor just to make money.
However, I would have no problem with CHs being given the ability to "deed" a rare pet, but with limitations. For example, its not tradable, it can only be put in your bank or house, and it wouldnt have a 'tame' option on it. Perhaps it would be an option in your datapad that appears when a pet hits 0 vitality, if it ever does... You'd get some message like, "You must use a vitality pack or retire this pet" if you try to call it. It'd be especially fun if they made it so they still moved around, but were limited to the inside of your house. I'd be out incapping my favorite pets over and over just so I could have a house full of roaming pets... But, anywoodles... thats my opinion.

A few questions/comments:
1) Would this be the same as a regular (BE) pet deed? If so, my main complaint is that this would be an easy exploit for a MBE/MCH to continuously resample DNA. Mind you, -I- wouldn't object, but the devs might have a different opinion.
2) Current pet deeds don't have a vitality stat. I'd rather not have the devs tinkering with the pet deed coding. They (the devs) are fragile.
3) Many pets, especially fliers, have no current deed models. BEs have asked for the ability to make flying pet deeds, but the devs haven't responded, yet. This sort of thing would need to happen before your idea could be implemented.
