I just turned MBE last night (yay me!) and I decided to go collecting Mutant DNA.

What an experience. With MS on (from my CH scout side) and breaking every second Mutant, I ended uprunning over the Sarlac<spl?> and got diseased, got incapped a few times and ended up riding around Dathomir on a flaming bike. What a blast

But I digress.

While out hunting Mutants I ran into an MBE/Ranger that was collecting Mutant DNA as well. We teamed up for a while, had a fair bitof successand then he offered me 50k per Mutant DNA.

This seems pretty decent to me (1/4 of a mill for 5 samples!).

So I'm wondering what do you lot think? Is there actually a market for other good DNA out there? Is 50k a good price for Mutant samples?

I made a nice Kimo CL 69 12k HAM and good resists (SA sucked, only stun I think it was,so it's not perfect, just nice) out of 2 Mutant, 2 Youth and a Plainwalker samples. Would something like that sell for 250k?

I wish the 90 people that have contacted me for a level 70 kimo would read that post!

They think I'm full of it when I tell them "I want a large bribe if I'm going to spend 3-4 hours being chased around by mutant rancors". Most the time they offer like 100k. Have'nt made anything over level 59 yet lol

I ended up changing my tag to "Field Scientist" cause everyone thinks its some sort of farmer or electronics guyor something.

It least it stopped the "Can you make me a level 10 rancor" questions that people didn't like the answer to

This thread should be required reading for all MCH's that want a level 65+ pet. Sadly nobody has answeredthis poor fellas question.

Ive offered to buy VHQ mutant dna for 15k-20k before and been turned down, so 50k sounds like a very reasonable offer. But before you do sell try to remember how hard it was to get the dna, especially without a master ranger to use dathomir camo kits on you.

Ive got a couple customers who have come to understand the pains that are withstood to get the "good stuff" from mutants, hell one of my customers even tips me heavily when him having a bad night with the mutants just so he can get the biggest **edit** cats on Radiant (level 68 and a 65 so far).

There is an art to sticking a needle into the rear of a mutant rancor.

I do most of my sampling solo (well except for my barkmite burrower queen). I give my pet the stay command at 66 meters. I then go prone and crawl to 10 meters. Stand up and sample. Generally evey second sampling attempt aggros and every 5th sample I actually get some DNA. If my burst run is ready I will burst run from the aggro, if not I run to my pet and we take the mutant down (5 minutes). After about 3 aggros I have to fight I have to switch out for my second bark mite queen. I currently have a stack of 15k dathomir carnivore meat.

Four hours of Sampling generaly gives me a dozen samples and 4+ trips to cloning center. The current pets I am making use 2 - 3 samples depending on specials the customer wants and I get up to 1 million each. I guess for my time I would charge at least 100k for VHQ and 80k for non VHQ. I would charge more if crit failures weren't so common. I have now lost 10 of my own Mutant samples and 4 prepatch kimo samples.

I would buy them for 50k. You should jump all over that deal. I sell cl69 for 800k (could easily get 1 million) so the three samples I use to make the cl69 would be worth, to me, 150Kto 200K each.

On a related note, most of the MCH on my server know how hard it is to make cl70 pets due to the fact that there just is not any for sale. There is a few running around that I did not make and as far as I can tell, they were all made by the same guy. Nobody even asks me about the price any more. I put 5 cl69 kimos on the vendor the other day for 800K and they were all gone in juts a day or two. I also put several cl60 to cl67's on as well and they have been sold too

Anyways, buy those mutant samles before he changes his mind. Oh yeah, if he is on gorath, tell me his name lol
