Hi,
I have a BE 1-2-2-3Tried making few pets earlier, and, for some reason, could not get the expirimentation phase to come up, no matter what I did. Never had a problem, untill now, since they changed what craft tools worked on what things...
Now, tried with a Food/Chem. craft tool, Weap./Gemeric Craft tool, also tried next to both type Craft stations, as well (Weapon/generel item, and also Food/Chem.). Tired combinations of each tool and craft station, none worked. As nether did trying with my craft droid.. Nothing is getting the Expirimentation window/option to come up. Anyone know what's up with this now?.
I should have 5-7 Exp. points, which I'df really like to be able to actually USE....

Ok first thing you need food and chem crafting tool with the appropriate public/private crafting station or droid module.
Now thats out of the way there are a few other things to consider:
Experimentation only occurs on the DNA template phase, not on the pet crafting stage.
If you are close to multiple crafting stations or droids then they can interfere with each other and fail to work.
If you've checked all these things and you're still having a problem, try relogging

Yes, think I got it figured out now, thanks ).
Been a while since I actually did pet crafting itself, spending a lot of time just crafti-grinding to get the higher boxes done now, so I'll have more points, then pets to work with and such. Knew about the stations being too close, and now that seperate ones MUST be used, I'd already re-arranged them further apart enough. I'd simply just forgot that it doesn't happen in the actual pet creation stage, but the Template creation, instead. Memory lapses will drive you crazy, sometimes

I've actually started getting a little paranoid about this. Sometimes you'll *think* you're close enough to your droid or station only to find out you're not after the combine, grrr. So generally what I'm in the habit of doing now is taking a quick peek at the "tissues" tab before crafting a creature. At a quick glance, you can tell if your experimentation will be intact because if not the list of tissues will be very very small.

My droid is driving me crazy atm, since the droid revamp they move SOOO slow, sometimes he wont follow me at all and sometimes he just runs off!

i stopped using droids now, ever since i got agroed in the field and lost 3 units of mutant rancor dna
- so i splashed out and got a nice +49 F&C crafting station in me shop. only craft in the field if i need the inv space. here's a tip: if you know you're going out for a lot of dna, get some droids with storage space. you can have 4 droids and each one can have up to 10 inv space in them - so thats an extra 40 spaces for lovely dna.

Well about the experimentation... Does Research Centre specilization also give BEs an extra experimentation point in their crafting?
Even tho my city is Research Centre and listed as such my BE always seems to have 'just 10' points?

a research center gives a bonus to the experimentation roll but it doesnt give you more points.
