Thread: What are the BEs doing about vendors?

I'm starting to climb the BE tree and intend to stay on it.

Was wondering what BEs out there are doing for vendors to sell pets.

Is Bus 3 required, or is there another way?

Thanks

Find someone else who has at least Advertising 3 (Merchant 3/0/0/0) to host your stuff, if you can't spare the points yourself to get there. Advertising 3 is where a Merchant can put the vendor on the planetary map. After that, it's all gravy. (Although the Efficiency line is nice, to get reduced Maintenance fees on structures.)

Try posting on your server's trade board, or on the Merchant forum. If you post in the Merchant forum, though, make sure you include your server in the subject line, so Merchants will know it's not something they can help with unless they're on your server.

I've had a some luck selling my pets on my server's trade forum, and my vendor hasn't been doing too badly. I'd really suggest going for planetary advertising though. I'm currently working up to that myself.

Definately find yourself a merchant to work with. My vendor (run by the guild merchat) is advertised on the planetary map and located conveniently close toa starport as well as with several other vendors. I do betwee 2 and 3 million a week in sales.

I bought a second account and leveled up a toon who's a 3002 Merchant.. Can't afford the points myself, so it was needed. This is a nice option for some of us, but not all.

2 options. Make an alt like I have. he is Master Merchant, Master Architect and Master Artisan

Or join a good PA. I see you are on Scylla so I can not offer you the services of Helix, Inc on Lowca.

Shop your PA's carefully though. I have seen some PAs that will rip off members or because of thier declared status of Imp or Rebel will keep half the people from buying from you. **** end of 'I hate Griefers' statement

get business three, place the vendor, and drop the skills. just be sure to pay maint on him/her. i know this works for merchant, but just try it out first before putting anything on the vendor, just to be safe

That's a great idea if it works.

Don't count on just getting Business 3 and dropping it. I'm a Master Merchant to boot and there's active talk on the Merchant boards and with the developers that anyone who drops the skill will lose the corresponding vendor they had gained from that skill.

For right now it works but be aware it may not in the future.

Just level up the Merchant tree and things will go good. I have Merchant 0/0/3/3 and I have my vendors in my city's mall. I get plenty of XP from people just being in the room.

Try this:

1.You can craft through Business 4, only took me an hour to do and then place the robo droid as you vendor.

2.Stock your vendor and advertise on your server boards that you are selling what ever it may be. Stims/Tissues/Pets.

That is it, you will get Merchant XP in no time and find that running a vendor can be fun. I have found that selling tissues is a good business. I have 2 vendors going in the mall, One for pet stuff, the other for tissues. I get plenty of business and XP from this. If you can keep the tissue vendor stocked, life will be just as good as selling stims/pets.

But you can run a business with one vendor, use an NPC. At the early stages, you cannot customise what you get too well, just keep making a new vendor until you get one you like.

Problem is I'm not emotionally prepared to drop MCH yet after spending almost 6mths getting it.

I guess team with merchants is the wisest way to go, and shouldn't be too tough. The city of Gatica on Scylla is pretty cool.

Team up with a merchant, they could use some loving =).

Hate to break it to you Radnog. I'm a Master Merchant and I STILL have to sit there and cycle through generations of vendors to get one I like the look of. I just can play Barbie with her/him and dress them up .
