Thread: How to calculate what damage you will get from a DNA template
Howcan you calculate what damage you will get from a DNA template?
This calculation is simple and consistent:
Mulitply Power by 0.8
Round up to the nearest 10 to get Minimum Damage
Add 10 more to get Maximum damage
Example:
Power = 516
516 * 0.8 = 412.8, round up to get420
Damage will be 420-430
This is useful when picking what sample to put into the Aggression slot. If you want higher damage, just choose the sample with the highest Power, ignoring Fierceness. If you want to lower CL and don't care about Damage, choose the sample with the lowest Power. I don't know how this will affect Specials when re-sampling clones. It won't affect the Specials of the current clone.
This works remarkably well for high power ratings. I'm having some breakdown in lower power numbers... particularly double digits.
Kodi08 asked: "How will you know what yourmax highest power number will be when deciding what DNA to use?"
If I understand the question correctly, this is something that Sumorex is trying to figure out. See, for example,

When I'm deciding what DNA to use in the Aggression slot, I choose the sample with the highest Power, ignoring Fierceness. Sumorex is looking intopredicting the maximumvalue one can experiment Power up to based on the DNA samples. Hs preliminary numbers seem to suggest that having a lower Fierceness would bebeneficial since a lowerFierceness relative to Power leads toa greaterincrease in Power for each experiment point. So, if two sample have about the same Power, but one has much lower Fierceness, then choose the one with the lower Fierceness to get the biggest increase in Damage. This assumes that you aren't interested in increasing the Ferocity of your Clone.
