Thread: BE's on Sunrunner got no guts
listen this was one to get your attention
BUT TWO cause I have contacted like twenty different master bio-engineers and most seem like uh duh about when I ask for this. I gotta believe there is one or two or you on this server that knows what he/she is doing so plz email me in game or send tell to me.
I want one pet around a level 70, maxed out, armor rating, special protections, the whole works, high ham. Second I want to pets I can have out together as massive tanks, around level 35 each or one 40 and one 30.
Im willing to pay for this, Im willing to pay 70k for each of the tanks, and 80k for the main pet. Thats 220k for those three pets, this is mind you that I like them. I know of a friend on another server that had a kimo made with 12.5 ham, dizzy and stun specials, no armor rating but was a level 68 pet. That sounded good and on top of that he has 40% kinetic, and 50% blast and energy protection. Now can someone on sunrunner live up to the task or what
come on now I know you guys are out there that have the guts. I mean one BE told me tonight they they cant get near the lairs they want to in order to get the dna. I mean come one Im a master CH, so wasnt this guys, give me a break, you try, if you get attack then fine you have your pets attack and take care of the lair and move on, the comment sounded like he was scared, thats ridiculous. Im a master CH, I want a master Bio to do what they can do best, make me some of the top pets you can.
Plz I want to get back to where CH meant something. Im not totally against what the dev's did with CH, cause I think it will force people out of the profession, and lets face it everyone is a CH, well not everyone, but a heck of a lot of people that arent into the skill jsut took it for whatever reason. Thats their business but the patch will deter half involved people from taking the proffession, thanks, plz contact me if you can live up to this order.

oh and let me add this point. I think its great with the patch casue now you guys have a great purpose on this game, and I personally think you guys should be able to make better pets then there are in the wild, and I was excited when I saw what the patch did, I thought awesome now bio's can make some great pets now. I think your proffession is great and the potential of what you can do is even better. I just hope someone on sunrunner gets that together and starts showing what bio's were intended to do.
I support the bio's 100& on the whole CH/BE clash on eachother after the patch. I will buy my main pets from bio's now and be happy to pay for it.

not all bio-engineers are master ch's you asshat plus they just got intruduced to this new system and all you little uber wanabees are snapping at their heels like little lap dogs wanting a oh so uber kimo or 2 tanks with 60% resists down the board, have you put any thought into your request? do you think they have a magical chart where they just imput your order and 20 seconds later it pops out? jeesus man slow down,
and calling them gutless might not be the best tact but hey maybe the ppl you buy off of like that sorta crap

I'm not sure what happens on your server, but, with myself personally, this is too little information. "maxed out, armor rating, special protections, the whole works, high ham" is different from person to person. All of my customers understand either up front, or after a brief conversation, that I need specific information. Just saying "high ham" or "maxed out special protections" won't get you a pet made.
But, on the flip side, I would think that any master BE that wants a good clientel would explain this to everyone that asks them about buying creatures from them, either by conversation or, what I use, a form letter e-mail.
OK, I am not on sunrunner let me enlighten you a little.
To get a level 70 is verydifficult for several reasons.
1) DNA - You need dna thats 75 to make a 70.
2) Mutant rancors are CL 75, have you tried getting close to one of them? Its not easy.
3) with 5 very high samples (and that could potentually take you many hours to get) You are just as likely to make a 74 72 or less then 70. Its not an exact science.
4) using 5 mutant rancor rancor DNA will have decent ham and the rancors protects, by decent i mean around 10 to 11 k but not much more. It will also only have one special that would be dizzy. the AOE bleed doesn't transfer overand arelost.
So, in order for somone to make you a megga level 70 pet they will be risking death and decay for hours, (in that time they could do missions and make WAY more thenthe 80 k you are willing topay for it), they could crit fail loose the entire works, or worse make a pet over 70 and have to start over.
They wont listen when you say you cant do that, and you cant choose the exact stats, or it may take days at least to make one, and then call you a greedy **** when you say its gonna cost 200k - like they'd spend 2 days trying to get close to a CL75 mob in the HOPE that a) you can sample it before it kills you, and b) you can manage to get enough samples to make something decent.
I love the new system, but atm its too unpredictable, and BE REALLY needs a Maskscent bonus at Master.

You are not looking for a MBE, you are looking for a charity orginization.

ya know if you bring the MBE the dna maybe hell slap it all together for 80k, that would be fair.
I'm a BE, faced with the challenges of every other BE. That is, I'm constantly harrassed by CH's for uber pets. The only way I can make pets in volume is to use garbage DNA. Anything with more than 3000 HAM takes time. Anything that is AR1/60%kinetic takes a lot of time.
So, I can't keep up. I put pets with 60%kinetic / AR1 on my vendor for 450k. That way they don't sell immediately. All the other garbage that I get while trying to get 60%/AR1 goes on my vendor from 10k to 40k. Once that crap starts selling, I'll lower the price on the 2 uber pets I've made.
Here's the life of a BE with the new system
I used to find DNA sampling fun. But, with the demanding attitudes of CH's, it's become a tiring job: Dismount my bike, and get incapped. Dismount my bike approach the mob, and get incapped. Dismount my bike, and get incapped. Dismount my bike approach the mob, and take a sample... fail. Take another sample... succeed. Take another sample.. get incapped. Then put 3 minutes of rest between each incap, so you don't have clone 5000m away.
Finally, the poison on me has caused 750 wounds. Give up, and get incapped 3 times. Back in town, answer 3 tells a minute about what uber pets I'm trying to sell. Answer them, by saying I have no uber pets that I'm trying to sell. When it comes to uber pets, I have only orders to fill. Give waypoint to my vendor.. answer about 15 more questions, give waypoint to vendor again, and then never hear or see them again.
Start working with the DNA. Finally, get armor 1 on a clone, but kinetic is vulnerable. Darn! Try again, get something I like. Try a third time, and get a critical failure. 4th one works. Then I notice that each clone I made has dizzy/dizzy combo. Oh, that's wonderful. After 2 days of sampling, I have 2 pets that meat my 58%/AR1 goal, and both have dizzy/dizzy and no range. I had 6 people I promised to make uber pets. If I consider how much time I spent, these should be priceless. But, whoever buys it will probably come back the next day, and see that someone else has one with more damage, and be upset about what I spent 8 hours making. After thinking for a while, I decide to put it on my vendor for 450k.
My suggestion to you is to wait until the BE's have figured out the system. No one knows which slot does what yet. We have a few nice recipes, but they aren't repeatable. Wait a week or two, and the prices will come down, and vendors will be stocked. If you get something now, and actually pay what it's worth to the BE, you're going to be dissappointed later.
Back in town, answer 3 tells a minute about what uber pets I'm trying to sell.

Yup, been there. Made an armoursmith alt toon on the new euro servers as soon as they went live, and as soon as I hit novice armoursmith it was tell-hell.
Your only option is to mark yourself AFK and edit your auto-response requesting email information.
People, whenever you want to place an order (and this goes for any profession) do it by email. It is less bothersome for the recipient, and you have more room to give a specific description of what you want. Bear in mind that if you want a specific item it will probably require specific components which will take time to get.
okay while I do feel bad for some of the way I first posted, I still have a sore spot too. I know i had put at least two post up on this forum and under the bio's professions about getting high pets, they didnt even get one response. I know Ive been contacted bio's since the patch came out and I kept getting the same response that they didnt know what they could do. I UNDERSTOOD that it was when it was three days later and still people were like "hmm yeah okay later man" cause they didnt know what to say instead of being honest, that is was really started to tick me off. I was all for the bio's with the new patch. I didnt care that I couldnt get the best pets on my own. I personally said yeah more power to the bio's I dont mind paying. And if you dont believe me check out my post on the bio's forum regarding this whole post, I forgot to add the second post I made to this one that I made on the other one, explaining that I thought the bio's could do great things and had a great profession now.
Onto the money issue, thats my bad I guess or the bad of every bio Ive ever bought anything from, I have paid what I was asked to pay and its never been more then 50k for a pet, like a kimo cost me 50k yesterday, and I didnt hussle with the guy. I Paid what he asked.
So due to the fact so many people were pissed about the money, I dont want to be cheap or try to rob you, I didnt know it was that hard for you to get stuff, I understand. I will pay 750k for all three pets then, thats 3 quarters of a million, that should be a fair price I would think . I will also accompany any bio to get the dna he needs to get my pets. I never knew I could get the dna myself, I still think I cant as a CH, but if I can tell me how and I will get it for the bio's as much as I can. But I will go with a bio to get the stuff to ensure his protection, that doesnt bother me at all.

750k is reasonable but you would have to make consessions on the level, hitting level 70 on the nose may take more attempts (and deaths) than is worthwhile at any price, but if he hit 68th level my advice is to be estatic. As for two level 35's....same thing, if a MBE can get the combined levels to about level 70 with neither one straying too far from level 35...then thats a hellova good job.
This is by no means an exact science.
