Sampling macros are really buggy, and I wouldn't advise using them. That being said, are you sure that you have all the capital letters in the right places and (no) spaces where there shouldn't be? Their usually the reason why sampling macros dont work.

or you used copy/paste and got some non-displayed characters?

I use a macro for sampling myself, and have for over a year. it works great.

If you're using the one in the FAQ, there's a problem with "Outwards". It's not supposed to have the "s". I also dislike the incompleteness of that macro.

Try this:

/ui action targetSelf;
/pause .5;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
/pause 6;
/sampledna;
/pause 11;
/ui action toolbarSlotxx;

I use this one (from memory, the details may be off):

(with creature targeted and bike out)
/dismount
/pause .2
/sampledna
/pause .2
/target (speederbike swoop)
/pause 1
/mount
/pause 1
/ui cycleTargetLast

You hop off your bike, sample the creature, hop back on your bike (for a quick getaway in case you get aggro'd), and target the creature again (to get ready for the next sample), all before you are done with the sample process. Works great for me.

I went outside of Mos Espa or one of the Tatooine cities where there is constant spawn and used the following macro

/target self;
/pause .5;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
/pause 5;
/sampledna;
/pause 14;
/sampledna;
/pause 12;
/macro dnagrind

you can change options - graphics - field of view
and press Ctrl+shift+s which rotates camera continually and leave your character unattended for 20 mins. Clean inventory from time to time.

It is not the fastest but you can go afk.

you may need a vasarian for mind buff. No other buff needed. Armor not needed for these spawns if you have at least some TKA, SW ...

It is good to check you char from time to time not to go far away from the city.

You've been given two types of macros, for DNA grinding and for DNA sampling regular critters so you're set in either event.

Macros dont work for BE alts......

lol if you were on Lowca I'd give you a much harder time about that, too

Thats a bit unfair...I dropped BE on my main to go pure Combat/FS(Near Jedi) and my alt is having the joys of the BE grind...Not all Alt BEs are Chefs
