So they're not THAT great. As you can all see, I used a pretty wide variety of critters for the combines. The second one is my favorite of the two. Anyone willing to give a pointer over which samples should've gone where?

My ideas would be:
On both, I'd experiment less on mental and prowess, and more on aggression (or just withold the points altogether).
I think the first pet has nice potential, with lower CL and higher damage it could be a nice npc-killer. It might be really good for the PVE GCW stuff going on right now.
On the 2nd one, I'd be inclined to find something else to go into the mental slot in place of merek harvester, because it dilutes the energy resistance too much. I usually like mixing BMBQ with things that have nice kinetic/energy combos like young malkoloc plains walker, ancient grauls, frenzied grauls, prowing gurrecks, grassland voritor trackers, and various types of thunes. The kwi guardian and mantigrue reaper also share those traits.
One last comment would be that on the 2nd one, you got lucky
I'm in the habit now if just not making a creature unless I can put a VHQ sample into aggression to assure that I get the right specials. There are just too many times that I end up with a "gimp" creature with only 1 special because I used HQ instead of VHQ in slot 5.

I'm going to try it again tonight. How does this sound? This is a reattempt on the second one. By the way, the experimentations were specifically done that way because my close friend said he liked his pets to have even HAM. I experimented the stats to see which ones effected which pools. My assumptions were correct from the numbers I saw during the expeirmentation phase and the final combine. Now, by the time I had even HAM, I still had two points to spend. It didn't go into aggression because I didn't want to bump up the CL too much. But then, I had no idea where it would've landed anyway. I have alot to learn and relearn.

MR - Mantrigue Reaper
RKG - Rhoa Kwi Guardian
SMR - Singing Mountain Clan Rancor

On the first one, would you suggest the same? Less on the HAM and more on aggression?
yea, I guess it really depends on how he wants to use it. For pvp this couldmake sense. Just so long as he understands that on this pet, his insistance to have high action and particularly mind pools mean that his pet is either going to be10 CL's(or so) higher than it would otherwise or 150 damage (or so) lower than it could be at the same CL. Action HAM pool is pretty "cheap" (doesn't raise CL that much) but because experimenting on mental has the side-effect of raising the "to-hit" (whatever that does, grr, we gotta figure that out still), that really skyrockets the CL.

Well I was going by just what he said as he was hovering over my shoulder. I wasn't making the pet for anyone in particular. They're not meant to be sold, maybe given away to a lucky CH. But I was checking to see which points effect which pools. Now I can experiment to even out the HAM, and still have plenty experimentation to get the damage up.
Anyway, tonight I shall work the second version of that pet and see what I can come up with.
