Thread: Trouble with Sampling

So I volunteer to escort my wife while she goes to Dathomir to sample some Rancor. We take some missions for Enraged Rancor and I hide about 80 meters away. No scout here, so I keep my distance.

She goes in and starts sampling....fail, fail, fail, agro. I kill it and tap the lair. We try again.

Okay, now repeat that for all four missions we took.

Over thirty attempts to sample as a master BE, and not one sucess. NOT ONE. I know it's not supposed to be easy, but it IS supposed to be possible, right? We're casual players and although she's been master BE and Master CH for months, we've never been able to make an 'uber' pet or even had that much luck at sampling at all.

I know after reading the forums quite a bit how secretive BE's can be with their formulas, but how about tossing us a bone here? My master armorsmith does quite well following the guides for armorcrafting, and I respect the desire to keep the good stuff, but at this point, I'd settle for some half decent mediocre stuff.

Sorry but Enraged Rancor is CL80 and our limit, unless it changed and I don't know about it, is CL75. At CL75 there is the Mutant Rancor with a 5% rate of sampling success.

Thank you very much for your contribution to our research, lol. Actually as mentioned, theassumed sampling cap is75, but that is because nobody has reported to have sampled higher on a live server. This helps to strengthen that assumption

Yeah the higher the creature level the harder it is to sample.. the worse thing is if you do get the DNA you want and it critical fails on you, I have been getting far too many of them these days *grabs his stress toy*

Hehe, I kid with you - I've bought truck loads of food and drink off you (not to mention some bespoke stuff as well). Fancy coming on Farstar and providing some food there?

Not on experimentation. On assembly perhaps, but I had a crit fail experiment early on last night on BSN, this in a research center city, and as a result only got up to 83 by the end of theexperimentation process. No manufacturing schematic for that run. Eeeked out a 86 on another assembly...it's all due to the quality of the meat, I'm sure, which was not fantastic but hey, I've got a 15k stack of the stuff!
