Thread: Question on usage of exp points for CL10 pets

I am making some cl10 pets using a variation of the 2nd gen/MH recipes I see here. Now, my question is, what stats should i avoid putting exp points into (for both 1st and 2nd gen) so I can keep CL down and what stats should i PUT exp points into to keep HAM balanced, lower cl further, etc.

I know this will depend on what dna is used for the first one and whatnot, but just in general so when I am testing I don't throw ruin too much of this dna (bleh! so long to collect ).

Thanks alot guys. I have been very impressed with how helpful this forum is!

In general putting points into agression will raise the CL of a pet so you might want to shy away from that in the 2nd gen.

In the first gen there tends to be experimentation in psych, but I've seen a variety of recipes with wildly varying points in diferent places for the first gen. It mostly comes down to what tradeoff in HAM you want to make.

ALso it seems that when you balance the HAM stats the level goes up as well. This could be a function of the overall number of points spent or a hidden formula for average or mean CL to HAM stat calculation.

Well usually what I'll do is max phys max psych and 1 point mental and prowess on the 1st gen, then see what doing no exp, max exp, and limited exp yield CL wise on the second gen. The trick is keeping incredibly detailed and precise notes, keeping track of what points you used where and what the results were. /notepad is very useful for this. If you stock up on the DNA you need so that you have enough for lots of trials, and have the patience to try every possibility, you'll end up wasting a lot of DNA on CL12s but you'll also get a recipe that will yield the CL10 you want, with the best stats, 99% of the time

I did this with a MH MH X X X variation and found the combination of experiments that will yield a CL10 guaranteed, with pretty awesome stats. Took a lot of time and effort but its worth it for that recipe that I can go to every time now
