Thread: Greetings! MBH Seeks your Expert advice!
If all you are after is a tank, you should not have much of a problem. A skilled BE will drop Damage and Resists (just keeping kinetic high) and can even add light armor in the upper 20's without too much problem. The closer you get to 30, the higher the HAM and damage can be.
I think there is a "sweet spot", and itis around CL 21. That is the level at which we as BE's seem to be able to consistantly make some really compelling kinetic tanking pets. Pets with high HAM (close to 10k) with high kinetic resists, and light armor. So that's what, like 4-0-0-0 in CH (or 0-4-0-0 or whatever)? Bring back the CH dabblers! lol.
Getting higher CL levels than that what you mainly get is pets with slightly higher HAM, do more damage, or have some energy resists in addition to the kinetic resists. Or of course the ability to wield more than one pet at a time. But for pure tanking on the hunt, a CL 21 pet can honestly work about as well as a much higher level pet. I've used my pet to tank Enraged rancors, or big packs of other really impressive creatures and it very very rarely dies or even needs healing until after the battle.

It's fairly simple to make a CL17-19 10k/6k/4k HAM pet with 60Kinetic. This is the equivalent of Light Armor and 20Kinetic if that looks nice.
As a MBH you really shouldn't have problems with a creature like this dieing. You can also store a good amount of them so you don't have to worry about healing, just do a rotation of pets.
These pets will also double over as distractions in PvP.
My options are limited ... but I am now armed with a better understanding of what I could do in conjunction with MBH.
Thank you all VERY VERY much!
