I went out DNA hunting today and collected DNA Samples from a handful of different creatures on Talus and Corellia. I collected samples both from mission lairs and from random spawns. As a Master BE, Master CH and Novice Swordsman, my CL is 58, so I was able to use my own missions for 2 sets of DNA Samples. I got varying numbers of samples from each source due to various reasons (one of which is that 2 of the sets came from someone else's mission and I did not want to kill their lairs).

Out of 55 total samples my average quality was High.

DNA Source #1: Level 58 Humbaba from a Mission Lair (natural Level is 17).

The following numbers are the average of 13 Samples:

  • Hardiness: 733

  • Fortitude: 20

  • Dexterity: 280

  • Endurance: 343

  • Intellect: 160

  • Cleverness: 279

  • Dependability: 167

  • Courage: 168

  • Fierceness: 81

  • Power: 320

DNA Source #2: Level 60 Kahmura from a Mission Lair (natural Level is 15)

The following numbers are the average of9 Samples:

  • Hardiness: 728

  • Fortitude: 5

  • Dexterity: 190

  • Endurance: 320

  • Intellect: 181

  • Cleverness: 191

  • Dependability: 69

  • Courage: 46

  • Fierceness: 148

  • Power: 318

DNA Source #3: Level 16 Kahmura from a Mission Lair (I came across these as I was looking for Random spawns)

The following numbers are the average of 10 Samples:

  • Hardiness: 311

  • Fortitude: 4

  • Dexterity: 188

  • Endurance: 317

  • Intellect: 181

  • Cleverness: 190

  • Dependability: 68

  • Courage: 44

  • Fierceness: 146

  • Power: 315

DNA Source #4: Level 65 Sharnaff Bull from a Mission Lair (I spotted these as I was checking Corellia for Humbabas)

The following numbers are the average of4 Samples:

  • Hardiness: 790

  • Fortitude: 78

  • Dexterity: 320

  • Endurance: 456

  • Intellect: 163

  • Cleverness: 318

  • Dependability: 230

  • Courage: 115

  • Fierceness: 114

  • Power: 350

DNA Source #5: Random Spawn Humbaba

The following numbers are the average of 12 Samples:

  • Hardiness: 322

  • Fortitude: 20

  • Dexterity: 280

  • Endurance: 343

  • Intellect: 164

  • Cleverness: 279

  • Dependability: 167

  • Courage: 167

  • Fierceness: 81

  • Power: 322

DNA Source #6: Random Spawn Sharnaff Bull

The following numbers are the average of7 Samples:

  • Hardiness: 409

  • Fortitude: 78

  • Dexterity: 318

  • Endurance: 450

  • Intellect: 159

  • Cleverness: 318

  • Dependability: 225

  • Courage: 109

  • Fierceness: 109

  • Power: 346

I decided to average the numbers for each set of samples because I felt thatposting the numbers for all 55 samples would be excessive.

Successes vs Failures:

I got 3 possible results from a success and 2 possible results from a failure. Those were:

  1. Success

  2. Success & Creature Dies

  3. Success & Creature Agros

  4. Failure

  5. Failure & Creature Agros

These results seem to be independant of creature level. I got the 3rd success (creature agros) less often than any other result (includding failures) but I got it as often from low level stuff as from high level stuff.

Immediate thoughts after glancing at that would be that where a creature has its level bumped for mission lair duty, the hardiness is increased dramatically with the other stats staying more or less the same.

It would be interesting to take five samples of each of the test subjects, experiment the template stats to match the average sample values as closely as possible and crank out a pet; test hypothesis being that the final animal would have the same level as its donors.

This is somehting along the lines of what myself and dorelli aretesting atm, for now we're colecting as much data as we can on mission and wild spawn dna over at swg:creature crafter then we're going to try to work out the forumla to predict what stat would appear on mission spawns at whatever level, this should help people to build recipes and be able to recreate them with diferent level missions. If Maisland doesn't mind i will transfer his dna stats onto the list over there, the more info we get the better we will able to predictt the correct curve and what sum to use.

You are welcome to use my numbers anyway that you see fit. If you'd like, I have all the individual stats in an excel file... if you want I could either email that to you or upload it somewhere.

P.S. Not to be nitpicky or anything, but I'm a "she."
