i understand as a general rule to get armour you need fortitude above 500 . Is there a stat that decides wether specials stick ? . do you need to place dna with those specials in more than one slot?? ive read most of this forum (some great tips on here ) and spent ages trying stuff out , but basically im no bettter at making creatures than when i first started . So far ive found this new system a big time sink and far too confusing .

I'm guessing that there is a statistic that governs which slot the special comes from, but I haven't narrowed down exactly which one it is yet.

One technique that I've been using lately when creating mid-level tanks where I care a lot about resists, armor and specials but not so much about to-hit and speed:

I put a dna sample that has two specials that I want to "stick" in the agression slot, and make sure it comes from a creature with fairly high CL. Good examples of this are Arcane warrior (poison and dizzy) or vexed voritor (dizzy and knockdown). Then I put dna from a much much weaker creature in the psych slot (like lesser plains bol). This seems to force the specials to come from theaggression dna in a fairly reliable way. I've noticed thatI put something in psych that is more powerful than what I put in aggression, it often forces the specials to come from the psych slot instead. Like I said, there is probably one particular statistic that determines this, but so far I have no clue what that one statistic is.
