OK, we all now how annoying this is: You sneak up to them, and you sneak and sneak, and you crawl and you try to make no noise and no sudden moves and at 17m they still detect you, they stop their butt scratching contest and show you their row of pointy teeth.

Or, you cruise around with your bike, the lag catches up with, rancors everywhere. They want to attack you but first they have to decidewho gets the little snack and they beat each other up for the next 10 minutes.

So here's what you do:

Sometimes you are lucky and next to your rancor spawn there are also some other weak agro mobs, like purboles, verne bulls, or reptilian fliers.

So first you pull one of the rancors away from his pack and speed to the other mob. There you catch the attention of one of the weaker mobs and also lead him away.

Then you have to drive circles around thetwo till the ugly mutant uses his bleed and they start to attack each other. Sometimes it takes only seconds. Sometimes you need 2 minutes.As soon as the rancor ate the poor little guy you have a shot at sampling him.

Just another way to sample these guys when you are too frustrated from mask scent breaks and tired of waiting till they beat each other dead. Hope this helps someone.
