Thread: I'm confused about flora and meat for cloning, please help :)
So this evening I made Bio-E novice again, after having dropped it on another server months ago...
Anyway, I did my first samplings and my first pets with much joy... Again...
BUT
:
I don't see anything on the schematics (or the FAQ) or wherever about what stat (quality, energy, flavor ?) is good when making a clone ???
Is it now that only the DNA quality matters ? And you can use whatever bad Flora and bad Meat you wish ?

There's an unproven voodoo magic typesuggestion going around that you have fewer critical fails using higher quality meat/flora.
This I heard in a lot of professions... That OQ always matter a little bit, even if not listed in the schematic...
Anyway, thanks a lot to you both for the answer !
YEah,, Smugglers are especially superstisious about their tools. They CAN be experimented on, but the tools don't have a visible stat.. there's nothing conclusive about quality of materials and experimentation making any difference with Smuggler tools.
One that has MORE proof though, is that you get MORE fails using a HIGH QUALITY crafting station than a Droid station (which has no quality).

Are you telling me to stick with my Mouse-Droid instead of trying to buy that nifty 40+ food&Chem craft station ?

From all the Elite artisan forums, the reports are that those nifty high quality crafting stations have a higher percentage of critical failures. I stick to droids now, so I can craft anywhere with good results and I'm not tied down to my house. The largest discussion seemed to point to the fact that the HIGHER the station 'quality' the WORSE things were.
Crafting tool quality does matter, good tools are better. Best I have seen was around +14.
