I've been looking for these on Endor for last couple days with no luck. Finding death heads and a crazy 100% kinetic 90% energy apes werent a prob I just cannot seem to find any bark mites. I did get Bark Mite Burrower missions but they only spawned drones....they have no armor and not the great resists that everyone posts about them. Am I on the wrong planet or do they randomly come out of the lairs?

I group up the get Difficulty 74 missions. That difficult level may be overkill, I am not sure. In any case, the 23,600 credit Bark Mite Burrower missions spawn 1 or 2 bark mite burrowers per lair plus several workers. I collect a LOT of BMB DNA as its a staple in almost every clone I make. Just get 2 lairs with a common direction (one North and one Northeast for example). If you are lucky, this puts the final lair lcoations about 500-600m from each other. Sample the BMB spawn from one lair until dead, do not hit the lair, run immediately to the next lair and sample away then return to the first lair for a fresh spawn. You can do that all day long.

I also find them all the time west/northwest of smuggler outpost.
Regarding MBM's, has anyone gotten the open wound special to stick? I can't, and I was wondering if it was just me or if it is one of those attacks we can't get.

AoE (Area od Effect) attacks will not breed through to clones, it is a hardcoded limitation of the system. This isnclude open wounds and plague strike. While I would LOVE to be able to make clones with plague strike, I do understand where it would be unbalancing in PvP if any PvP player could pull out a pet (even nonCH pets can have any special attack applied to them) that would disease an entire group of people bad enough to completely blacken even a fully buffed HAM bar in 10 ticks. Plague strike is some nasty stuff!

thank you for the info Data. BMB's are still awesome to sample.

No such thing as being a hardcoded limitation, it's either a bug or the devs did it on purpose. Frankly I think it's a bug.

By hardcoded limitation I meant that the devs did it on purpose. Of course there has been no official word to that effect but I think its pretty likely they did it.. like I mentioned, it would be pretty gnarly if any old novice artisan could pop out their CL10 Kima and send it to scurry beneath the legs of a group of enemies and hit them all with plague strike. Basically, every PvP fight would involve everyone getting Plague striked all the time.. it would negatively affect PvP for sure.
