Thread: I'm confused....... HELP. LOL
I don't understand something... (Told you I’d be back when I got confused. LoL.) Last night I was grinding the OC for the pre req's for BE, and I made a macro, very much like the one listed above. I use 5 crafters at once and have them loop right after the 5th one, which seems to make a near endless grinding macro. (I noticed I was cutting it a little close with just 5… I’m thinking of adding another one to give the first more time to finish before we start the loop again, but that is the least of my problems right now…) Last night I went from having no OC to being a novice BE with almost 4k BE crafting XP.
Needless to say, I like the macro, but I don't understand 1 thing about it... see if you can help me out.
Picking the draft schematic is my problem... First off it seems like the numbers are totally random... so I just kind of guess at a number and hope it lands on something I can use... for OC it wasn't a really big deal, most low level a's and b's of just about anything required the same 8 organic, 8 inorganic... so that really didn't matter...
But now, there's only one DS I can use to be truly effective... and it took me for ever to find it... I forget what it's called but it's the thing that only used meat, hide, and wheat... (The thing you’re supposed to use...) Well, I luck upon the number, and used it for about a half hour until my supplies ran out... then I decided to make a bunny... lol … I go out and round up DNA, build a bunny... marvel at if for a while... (LvL 2, 65 hp… yeah, he was uber… LoL) …. then go back, buy more comps, and start grinding again... only this time, my macro keep bringing up the bunny to craft instead of the one chemical...
Why? I didn't change the macro at all.... it SHOULDN'T have changed... I even edited my macro and tried different numbers... but to no avail... that blasted bunny keep coming up instead of anything else, irregardless of the draft schematic number I used...
It got really annoying to say the least. So what happened? Why did my macro go wacko... and does DNA sampling get easier? Honestly I was failing on dwarf nunas... 3 times before they attacked me... that just not right, dwarf nunas? No one should fail ANYTHING on something as easy as a dwarf nuna... besides, DNA's found in blood, so why can't I take a sample off my fists... which is filled with blood after I pummel them for attacking me... LOL.
Anyway, besides the slight hiccup with the macro, I have fun last night... I'll have to go hunting on Darmoth for some extra cash to buy wheat and flour and stuff. Animal meat won't be a problem for me; I can have almost 20k of it in a few hours of running missions...
The schematic number changes as you level up. But it is random and annoying. Their seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Its just something you have to live with and adjust to.
But remember if your near a public or private crafting station (droid with food/chem included in this) you gain schematics so the number for your macro changes. I like to make camp 1k outside a town and grind. It avoids lag as well as the possibility of running into this problem.
Pretty much this is just a grinding thing that happens. It happened when i did chef as well.
if you don't have a schemantic number put into the macro, it will boot your crafting station straight, which will automaticly go to the last thing you made.
Rewrite the macro and put in a scematic number. I would suges just writing it for one station to start then experiment to figure out which schematic is the one you want. And yes this number will probably change every time you level up, but its not a random number, it will be the same as long as you don't get any more schematics.

Soo... if i just take out the macro number... make on of the items i want to grind, then start the marco it'll just automatilitily go back to my last schemantic? Is that what your saying? That be one easy fix...
and yeah, not that you mention it i WAS near a crafing station when i started my last macro when everything when haywire... i had just gotten done making uber leet bunny...(lvl 2 65 ham... rock on!)
Hmm... if only i wasn't stuck at work....

... but but...
doesn't it take some intellengince to make a good working macro? I mean mine ran fairly smoothly after i made a few personal modifacations...
remember the old saying... work smarter... not HARDER... LoL.
Thanks for the info guys.
