Back a long time ago you use to be able to sample dna from your own pets,
but it was later removed because stupid people target there pets while sampleing for some unknown resason
I noticed the other day that you cant use /sampledna to sample from a clone your forced to use the radial menu. using the command you will get "you can not sample dna from that blah blah blah"
just because some one sticks there hand on a hotplate even after you told them its going to burn is no reason to stop cooking altogether.

I would like to see this back also. When grinding, I used to make a pet, tame it then sample it. I still tame pets to find their stats, these are not usually very sellable and end up deleting them. If I were able to sample them again, this would not generate massive amounts of samples.

Sorry, the lowest common denominator has to be protected from itself, it would see. The number of people that posted enraged because they had actually sampled their pets just because they did a /dnasample while targetting their pets was truly amazing and ridiculous.

That'sa little condescending isn't it Scorus? The previous implementation of sampling from pets was a poor design. If there were a warning when sampling from a pet or the option only showed up on the pet in the datapad there would never have been a problem.

I like the idea. It would allow the CH population to be able to sell pets to BE for testing purposes. As it is the BE/CH relationship can certainly use a boost and CH's are more suited for the rough terrain then us Scientists.
