As things stand it's a sort of trial and error thing. :/

EDIT: Oh, and that's not the best sig I'VE ever seen.

5 mutant rancors surely won't produce CL70 pets. Even with 4 mutant rancor, you will get at least a CL80 pet if you use all experiment points with all great sucesses.

I've posted in another thread about how I usually make CL70 pets.

I use the following DNA samples:

mutant rancor (HQ), mutant rancor (HQ),

rancor youth (VHQ), rancor youth (VHQ),

mutant rancor (VHQ)

Experiment 3 points in mental, so clevernessgoes as close to 500 as possible, so that "to hit" could be around0.5. You'll also get intelligence to about 600 and thus get mind points of the pet at around 11K.

Experiment 2-3 points in psychology to make courage as close to 500 as possible, so that attack speed could be around 2.0 (usually it would be 1.98).

Experiment 1-2 points in aggression to make power around 650, so that damage could be around 520. Don't be greedy and experiment too much on this, or you will get something higher than CL70.

Experiment 1 point in physique to make hardiness around 700. You will get health point of about 12,600

Experiment 1-2 points in prowess. You will have action point a bit lower than health.

So all experiment points spent. With all great sucesses you'll get a pet of exactly CL70, with around 12K HAM, light armor (of course), 44% kinetic, 60% energy, 100% heat, cold, electricity, 19 or 20% all others (no vulnerability), damage 520-530, to hit 0.5, attack speed 1.98, dizzy and knockdown specials (this may require a bit luck. I have the impression that 0 battle fatigue, 0 wounds, high effectiveness tools and stations help too, but I'm not sure).

Btw to get mutant rancor DNA, go to the dathomir sarlaac POI.I can usually find about 2 mutant rancor spawns within 1km of the POI. Usually I would park my bike 80m from the nearest mutant rancor. I have terrain negotiation 4 (or whatever I get maskscent from the scout skill tree) and I would equip my maskscent-enhancing shirt and pant. Usually I'll try to get DNA from the ones that are lying down or at least sitting, so that they won't move while being sampled. Start crawling at 80maway fromthe target, and preferably at the back of the target as well. If maskscent broke, stop still and wait to apply maskscent again. Keep crawling until I'm 14m away (I know 15m is the magic number, but I usually do it at 15m to play safe). Refresh maskscent. Start sample. Only keep HQ or VHQ samples. I can usually get about 12 HQ and VHQ samples in 2 hours.

If in the process I'm aggroed, I'll hit my armor macro to wear full armor, and run to my bike. Drive away and spam peace. You can also run into the mutant rancors and hope their area bleed would hit each other so they will fight among themselves, but generally I would avoid that because it would be a waste of time (and a waste of mutant rancors ) to wait till their fight settles.

Rancor youths can be found there too, and they're a lot easier to sample. I only keep VHQ samples.

Good luck!

I take it thats pure Mutant Rancor DNA correct? Those things are hard as hell to get a sample from but got 3 so far, please let me know, or would pure mutant be a cl75?

You'll need 4 samples of Mutant Rancor and one other high level sample, but you would be smart to plan on having a critical failure or overshooting CL70 by experimenting too much. End result: you can never have too much Mutant Rancor DNA. Good luck!

Actually, I'd expect you go exceed CL 75 if you used 5x mutant rancor dna and experimented them as high as you could (particularly if you max out damage).

I haven't seen anyone post here an exact recipe including how much they experimented, but most of the ones I've seen without the experimentation details include no more than 3 MR samples. I was actually able to get to CL 67 by using only Bull Rancor and I believe it was one horned voritor sample (in slot 5) but I wasn't really happy with the result, so I wouldn't recommend that combine. Point is though, be careful about how much CL 75 dna you use, and how much you experiment.

lazy recipe...

MR BMBq

BMBBMB

MR

you can blow all your experiment points (i personally fill strength and psych first)and end up CL69-70 most of the time if your using VHQ samples. it helps if you are picky with which MR's you sample (go for the ones with the 14k health in their ham). they turn out ~13kham lightarmor - 50kinetic- only vunerable is blast - and if lucky you get both specials (dizzy and stun) and sometimes ranged with damage around 560.

i don't think it makes a difference, but i use the best quality meat and fungi on the combine for luck (makes me feel better).

I have a suggestion. If you are a new MBE, just make pets and sell them. Learn the system, the recipes..... In my opinion, the Mutant Rancors are a big waist of time. You can make more money doing almost anything else... and meeting more needs, and learning more.

I am doing that, and I wasn't asking for an exact reciepe. Its just these Mutant's are not the easiest thing in the world to get and so far I've wasted 10 Samples trying for this one pet whereas i could have made a ton of easier ones.

MR's are not a waste of time they are the best to get the high cl pets, yes 2 cl35 pets are better than one cl70 but most people refuse to listen to that.

4 Bull rancor plus a surefoot brackaset to help with the resist profile will yield a CL 70 with quite decent stats, but do not max damage or you will get a CL 71, even with the best materials for the "skin" combine.

Merek Harvester also is a good one to use in combination with either Bull or Mutant rancor, and the Bark Mite Burrower or BMB Queen DNA also works very well in combinations with higher level rancors.

Ok here is a question: What combo yields the best resists in heat, energy, and kinetic? Trying to make a PvP pet that has a snowballs chance
