Thread: Prices for BE stuff
I'm afraid your question is a little too general to be able to be answered specifically. BEs can make quite a few different products, and server economies do vary greatly. You can take a look at the link in my sig to see what I charge on Flurry for the products that I make (meds and chef tissues mainly, but I do dabble in the tailor tissues by request).
In general, my pricing is irrelevant to you though. If you buy all of your resources from vendors (or through trade forum auctions), you might incur a loss with each product sold. That is certainly not a good business model. You need to determine what products you wish to make and determine what your costs will be. Then you can determine if the market will bear the price you must charge to give you sufficient profit to keep you interested in continuing.
Check out my pricelist in sig.
Please note I am one of the cheaper BioE's as I run a very tightship with regards what I will pay for the resources
I can not more highly recomend a visit to the local bazaar. There you will find plenty of information about what other people are charging and you should price accordingly. If you can make +87 BSNs and there are 6 other BEs out there selling +87s for 30-40k per crate, you should fix your prices in the same range. A small adjustment for your ability to advertise and mass produce should be added / taken away. Your location may enable you to sell a little higher too. (if you are near a busy starport, sell a little higher & if you are 3k away from the nearest shuttle, sell for a little less). After you have a nice guess for a price, check your costs. If your price guess is less than your cost (or even too close to your cost), you are going to have some cash flow issues.
Or you can just make stuff up and hope for the best ![]()
