Thread: Pet Sales?
Most CHs are still trying to learn the abilities. I'd say the vast majority have completed the Level 1 abilities (with the exception of Pinning) and are halfway through the Level 2 abilities. This is based on my 3 MCHs so take it with a grain of salt.
Once the CHs have learned the abilities, I can see the demand for tank twins or high health/damage Level 70s.

No one seems to have datapad space or time to level their "keepable" high level pets right now (at least I'm in that boat) because their datapads are full of newly tamed wild babies with innate abilities that they then need to find the time to fight with so they can learn the ability. It's hard to free up datapad space when you've been trying for all of those abilities! I definitely think you'll see sales improve when CHs get the chance to clean out some space
Sales were pretty quiet for awhile, but I've seen a nice, steady increase recently and I sure hope it continues ![]()
Good luck!

Just a tip if you didn't know Amyethyst. the learing of abilities for a wild pet seems to be based on kills not xp. So set up a macro and clean the house while your pet just kills a ton of spawn outside a newbee city. I like Tat Mos Esliey where they have that little Tusken camp. The MOB's are all cl 1 there and I just macro it while I clean and play with the kid works great!
Ya, I'm a huge advocate of killing yard trash to get more kills in a set amount of time over xp if I'm just trying to learn an ability (I don't do this for pets I intend to keep) ... BUT I am NOT an advocate of AFK macroing/grinding. No offense to those that do it because I understand that this CH grind has brought us to that level sometimes with its requirements and that people have lives... but my main is a master dancer/master musician/master entertainer and has been for almost 2 years, and I saw and experienced how the AFK macroing ruined those professions. This doesn't mean I don't use macros... I do have a macro for killing masses of CL1s on Tat, but I only run it when I'm actually at the computer. After what I went through fighting AFK dance/music bots and zombies that took over the cantinas, I just can't bring myself to AFK grind or AFK macro the yard trash or anything for that matter. There was once I was running the macro and my hubby managed to clog and overflow the toilet and I went to help him clean it up and in themidst of water coming out of the toilet I didn't get a chance to shut off the macro (which is where my "cleaning the toilet == learn your pet abilities" joke on the CH forums comes from) but I run the macro while I'm sitting there 99% of the time and just use the time to chat with the guild or with friends in-game. My problem is that I need to take a break from all my BE work to do this... when I log in I'd rather work with improving my recipes and working on new ones than to kill things.

To get back on topic a bit here. (Though I am glad that CH stuff was shared)
I am on Tempest, and I cant keep my pet vendor stocked for anything. It usually takes about two days or so to completely empty, but it takes so long to gather DNA that it is quite a job to keep it stocked. Have you tried advertising in coronet? I also keep an active list of creature handlers and email them every time I restock my vendor. The biggest selling point on Bio pets is our ability to grant a pet natural armor. I have the luxury of having a couple CH's in my guild to give me feedback, but so far, the pets I have made them are hands down better then anything they have tamed. At just about every level, my pets had more health, and damage.
This is what the CH community wants from us for the most part.
1. Pets that cant be tamed, or be tamed easily. (I sell a LOT of Rancors and Kimogilias)
2. Pets of a specific level. Pairs of level 35s, (I have a recipe that makes level 35 Rancors EVERY time.) I have had requests for three level 23s, and such. And the ever hard to make level 70s. And level 10s. I actually get a lot of requests from non CH's.
3. Pets of a specific color.
4. House pets. What is a house pet? Basically pet deeds that people want to set in a house or as decoration. After I started advertising for them, I started to get buisness for them pretty quickly. I dont think a lot of people realize that pet deeds can be placed in a house to make it appear as if the pet is actually standing there.
Be more direct in your sales. Come out and ask the CH's you see if they might be interested. My pet buisness gets me about a million every week or so. Which is awesome when you consider that pets cost us next to nothing to make but time.

I understand and agree Most of my "AFK" grind time I wtach the pet go kill things and make noise while my kid claps and giggles at the pet (I like to put it on the projector screen so he can smack the wall while the pet runs around). I will at times also make the bed or step away for a min to get a soda from the fridge. I dont not condon or agree with people running AFK macros and leaving for extended time. Even if I'm "AFK" I will stop to answer a tell or mail (kid permiting, child's will rules all things when they are under a year old it seems). I understand the whole recipe thing and once I return to BioE I'm sure thy will have changed it just to make me made and start my work all over once again!
Don't forget to sell your pets for about 500cr per CL. That seems to be a good price range for Bria, but then again, that may be high for other servers.
