Thread: What do you consider good (enough) stats on creature resources for chef tissues?
First, you must decide what you consider to be "good chef tissues". I aim for 7s (57/87/117) on the nutrient tissues. That requires that you experiment the product to 90%. Assuming that you are using wood as your generic organic, the formulas for the flora food and meat becomes ((OQ + PE) * 1.5 + FL)/100
The above is precisely the amount of experimentation that each resource will allow in the final assembly of an MNS (close for the others as well). The wood portion is given by OQ/50.
To take an example, if the wood and flora food I am using have these stats:
Wood - OQ980 = 19.6% experimenation
Flora - OQ900 PE800 FL500 = (1700*1.5 + 500)/100 = 30.5% experimentation
You now need to find a meat with at least (OQ + PE) * 1.5 + FL)/100 >= 39.9 (pretty tough to do since 40 is max)
If you are shooting for some number other than 7, simply add or subtract 3 from the 90% goal for every point (i.e. 93% yields 8, 87% yields 6, 84% yields 5)
Keep in mind that all of the above are for MNS. If you are making BSN or INN, then the formulas will be a little different (but close enough that I still use the formula for purchase choices). I use Lantyssa's tissue calculator (or at least the formulas implied therein) to select specific resource combinations.
As a general rule, I don't consider calling for meat hunts unless the ((OQ + PE)*1.5 + FL)/100 is at least 33
