Does anyone know anything about the faction bases? The only thing I have heard about it is that only certain classes can destroy them, they are only destroyable at 3 am every morning, and that if it is set on private you can't destroy it. Does anyone know anything more about it or if what I have heard is right or wrong?

Where are these bases and what do they look like? Are they the PvP battlefields? Are they static? Waypoints? Can you be neutral to do them? Can they be soloed by a bounty hunter?

To take over a Faction NPC Base, your side must do the following:

1) Jam the Uplink Terminal (requires Bounty Hunter: Investigation II)
2) Slice the Security Terminal (requires Smuggler, Slicing I: Terminals)
3) DNA sequence the Override Terminal (requires Novice Bio-Engineer)
4) Switch alignment of the Power Regulator (requires Commando, Heavy Support Weapons I)
5) Activate overload at primary terminal (anyone can do)

Anyone know if NPC faction bases are bugged or not, I can't jam the uplink and I'm a 2-4-4-4.

I know there was an article made that gave information about player faction bases, but for the life of me i can not find it. Can anyone do one of the following for me.

Either:

1) Tell me everything about player bases

OR

2) Give me a link to that article that says all the info about player bases.

Thanks for any and all replies!

I hacked my first faction base last night, and let me tell you, it was freaking hard. I got to 21 matches within 4 mins, but then it took like 10 mins to 22 and then 20 mins to get 23. I have to say it was a fun experience and hard to. Does anyone that has done this know where I can find something to make it easier next time?

I did it and got 1000 Bio-Engineer crafting experience, but overall it wasn't worth it. The base never works; one terminal always breaks. I'm not planning on making attempts to attack anymore faction bases until I hear of one that works fully, unless I really need the extra faction and BE craft xp (and the latter is tempting in fact, since grinding is a pain).

But yeah, the terminal took forever. The first time I did it I had two people there who knew DNA material in real life and fed me the info to do it. Given the other terminals took like 5 seconds each, I was rather surprised that mine took 10 minutes or more of choosing DNA sequences and pairing stuff up. For a minute we were afraid the base would respawn rebels because it was taking so long for my terminal to get anywhere. Quite the contrast with the others... if it was even twice as long that would be one thing... but it was incredibly longer.

Anyway, another time I went and planned to guess since I got this feeling you didn't have to really know the answers at all but just keep clicking until you got enough right (with no nasty consequence to getting a bunch wrong it seemed), but the terminals were locked as finished while the final was still broken and the base couldn't be reset. Another base had the first terminal broken so we never got to mine.

I also got 1000 xp, but I don't need it. I am already Master BE, but I didn't get one single faction point. Should i have gotten some?

I'm new to the whole faction battle pretty much except for the occasional ST or whatever, but just outta curiousity how do you find out when the faction bases are vulnerable for attack??? I've read around and I've found what professions are needed to take them down, but I can't find out how to discover when they are vulnerable... Any help would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks....

An officer of the faction to which the base belongs can see the vulnerability window if he/she is at least a Warrant Officer II.

So in other words you gotta have a spy... So there's no way to find out if you're from the opposite faction??? Even if you fight your way down you can't find out somehow???

That's correct SimpleSin. Even if you kill every player and NPC in a 1 click radius, and practically own the base... there's no way you can see when the base is vulnerable.
