Thread: Smuggler with BE

I am think about respecing my BE to include smuggler. I am thing about doing this for a couple of reasons. My BE is currently a master scout with the ranger tracking line, she is also my merchant. With the new changes coming in Ranger, tracking will be gone, so no real need for ranger or maybe even master scout (just need the mask line and jawa beer).
I am also reactivating an account and make that my new crafter/merchant.
Smuggler has feign death, which I would think would be great fro sampling. I thought if I got aggro from a fail I could just feign death. Does anybody have this template? Is it good for sampling? Or is there a better sampling/master BE template?
As a side not I am respecing a toon to be a crafter. She will have master chef, crafting mastery, some merchant and another master profession. Does anybody now of a good crafting prof that would be good for my BE. Is it just tailor? I also have a 3rd account, who is my meat hunter. Would weaponsmith be a good idea, if I hunted Kryat tissues?

The best sampling template is follows
MBE grouped with a level 80 toon. Never store the bike and you can always get on it and drive off before incap, just dont park too far away.
Before I go sampling I always group with my level 80 toon and just leave him somewhere quiet with aloot macro running so he doesnt log.

My BE is also a master smuggler. Feign death does come in handy for sampling when those nasty critters turn on you. However, the mask scent from ranger would probably be a far better choice. With the changes to ranger, that probably means going for as much scout/mask scent as possible.
Good thing about the smug/BE combo, with a CL 57 I'm able to help out on base busting without getting 1 hit killed by everything.
As for your question about what else besides tailor you can use your BE for, try chef. I have one toon that is Master Chef/M Tailor/M merchant. So my BE is kept pretty busy stocking her and providing for a few select tailors/chefs who need additives and tissues.
