grr I hate when i hit enter too quick...
Go to Giant Bark Mite Cave POI on Rori, which is near the Restuss Starport.
4 Samples CL9 Mutant Bark Mite Worker - High Quality
1 Sample CL22 Mutant Bark Mite Soldier - High Quality
Both easily found in volume
Experiment 4 points Aggression, 6 Points Physique.
Gives you a nice CL10 Dewback with 1500Health, 66%State Resist, 42-238Damage
On a side note, these little buggers have a 1000 intellect for CL17 and up.

Nice work folks!
One for damage, the other for endurance. Very good!
Shouldn't these two recipes be good for decent level 10 pets, period? Not just dews, but nice little kimas or gurrecks or whatever for the discerning non-CH customer?

my recipes may not work as well as i thought, i tried them again last night after gaining a couple of combat levels, they all came out cl11 to 13, it seeems that the mission level of the creatures does effect the creature you make from it, the origianal recipe was from level 46/47 missions and last night doing level 49 missions the dna was creating cl 11 to 13 pets

Pity ....I was going to try this out. Oh well back to the sampling board.

It seems to me that DnA from a (for example) CL20 creature will be slightly lower than (for example) DnA from a CL43 mission version of the same creature, likewise a CL40 mission version and a CL42 mission would come out with slightly diferent stats onthe DnAexample below
i was hunting matriach banthas, getting CL46 missions and sampling them for DnA, at the end i crafted all their DNA without any experimentation into 3k HAM CL10 critters
A day later i was doing CL49 matriach bantha missions and sampling their DnA, at the end i crafted all their DNA wihtout any experimentation into 3.5k HAM CL11 to 13 critters

So maybe if you can find lairs that are CL46 to 47 of the creatures i used to make CL10's with you may be able to replicate my recipe. I'm going to spend a few days and nights checking tatooines wild spawns and seeing what they make, then maybe start working my way through the other planets, i will post any decent findings i get on my own website at swgc.guildportal.com.

Are these growing large enough to make mounts? If so you might have just made my day - as I have a large order to make for a RP guild

Aparently, dewbacks, falumpasets and brackasets grow large enough for mounts atm, but all others don't

Starting point (which might be useful to some):
This isn't 'easy' but it is once you sort of know what you are looking at to get ... ie. is 'seat of pants thing'...so, take any animal about level 20-30 ish. Looking for DNA with hardiness in the 300-400 range, power same and all other stats will be about right so don't worry about them.
Experiment on aggression until you spend about 4-5 points in - it won't go to max usually. Then throw the other points into physique.I was trying not the get the hardiness above about 310 and aggression lower than 280 but a few went above it and were still level 10. One had both stats go above and was level 11. You can, if you have points left over, throw them into the other experiment boxes, but it might make it go over 10 sometimes. Experiment with your template by making banthas or something you can still use if it is too small or big.
Sorry for the complete vagueness of this post ...

...from the "pets" thread, running alongside this one on the front page.
for starters, grab some flesh-eating chuba DNA. you'll want at least three samples, and you ought to grab enough to make it worth your while, so collect in multiples of three. let's say you want five CL10's... grab 15 samples. then grab 6 more, because (chorus
crit fails on assembly destroy DNA.
head out to kashyyyk. run north to the kkowir forest, pass the gate, and bear east and north, past Cyrans the Unfeeling, into the dead forest. look for 'great moufs'. grab some DNA... you'll want two samples for every three samples of chuba... in this case, grab 10 samples, then grab 4 more for good measure. why? (chorus
don't have RotW? don't worry. find some nonaggro mob around CL30. replace 'great mouf' with 'your_favorite_donor'.
head somewhere you won't be disturbed... (chorus
. also, initiating combat (or, more specifically, drawing aggro) while crafting destroys DNA. pull out the crafting droid... if you don't have one, go buy one. now... fire up the crafting tool, and choose 'generic DNA template'.
you've got five slots in the schematic.
phys
prow
ment
psych
aggr
put the DNA in like this: slots 1 and 2 (phys and prow), 'great mouf' (or whatever you're using instead). slots 3, 4, and 5, flesh-eating chuba. pray, sacrifice a chicken, do a little dance, whatever suits you. why? because (chorus
. got all that? hit 'assemble'.
time to experiment. start with phys. max it. max out prow. max out ment. if you have anything left, max psych. DO NOT TOUCH aggr... you won't see a significant benefit, and the CL will shoot up dramatically. finish experimenting, whether or not you're out of experimental points.
twiddle your thumbs while the crafting tool does the voodoo that it do so well.
if you said the right magic words, and the stars lined up just right, you should be able to put that template into any skin that doesn't have a minimum CL over 10 and, as emiril might say, 'BAM!'
that's your CL10 recipe, for starters.
you should see stats that look like this:
Health: 2800
Regen: 260 (keep in mind that this is the TAMED number... it'll display as '26' on the clone deed)
Armor: don't bother checking this... it'll rewrite to zero.
To-Hit: ...
Defense: ...
State Resist: 25%
Crit Hit: 0.25%
Crit Save: 0.25%
Aggro: 0.4%
Damage: 17-128
