yeah, something is wrong between TC and Live.
of course, all NON-BioE pets are listing at CL1(0), with 10 health (and the rest of the stats you'd expect to see from a CL1, or a CL0 pet).

oops... RHOA kwi is too much. need the nonaggro 'kwi'. found with 'female kwi' and 'injured kwi'... they used to be about CL5.

got it. TC went down as I logged from Tempest, and when it returned, everything looked... normal. this wasn't the case for the two days prior to the latest code change. I mentioned this all to QA, but... if it isn't repeatable, then it isn't fixable. so far, it looks like the problem went away.
dathomir (and elsewhere) seemed to be... glitchy.
CL65's were mopping the planet with CL80 groups... intermittently. CL80 toons were taking three- and four-digit damage from CL80 targets... again, intermittently.
the stats on a 'kwi' sample I was shown were something like 700 hardiness, and scattered ZEROES in the rest of the stats. a 'pureblood' clone from CL70something (y'know, 5 identical samples combined and 'reskinned') came out as a CL18.
similarly, a CL50ish player was wondering why they were able to easily dispatch CL70-80 NPC's on yavin 4.
at the same time as all this oddness, other players were reporting NO problems in the same areas.
some players lost the ability to harvest, while others in their group had no problems.
it LOOKS like a temporary wonkiness... the DNA I found after the TC downtime looked perfectly normal, and I heard no more reports of strangeness that had been surfacing during the previous TC code.
the p19 code still has problems (at least on TC)... pets (everything BUT BioE clones) 'reset' to CL1(0) with corresponding stats. if this hits Live, don't gloat. if it doesn't... breathe a sigh of relief.
if high CL DNA DOES start showing 'yard trash' stats, let me know quickly, and I'll get back to QA with the news.
why oh why do they have to make it double xp week so we want to play and then push a publish to make it unpleasant to do so? sorry for moaning but ...
lamms ... i didn't know that female and injured were ok. spent a few hours this morning looking for a plain vanilla 'kwi' and didn't find one but i can report that a BE/ranger 4000 with dathomir cammoflauge applied has no problem at all at level 30 sampling most of what is on the planet. The creatures/NPC's just didn't seem to see me. I'd love to hear what the results on this are from non-rangers but with cammo clothes!
I'm going to gather the ingredients to make the rest of the cammo kits and go back to yavin and see what the klickniks think of cammo.
As per the BH noticing I'm a woman and then wanting to help. This happens ALL the time. If they find out you are a RL woman, then suddenly people become extremely helpful. The men because they want to be chivalrous and the women because it's nice to find other women players i guess

do you still have that DNA? it is REMOTELY possible that one of several things is happening:
1) something is flat out broken. this is the most likely explanation.
2) the DNA SAMPLED at 'bad stats' level, but later 'converted' to proper numbers. since all OLD DNA converted, based on the post-CU CL's of critters, it seems likely that DNA is never far from some 'baseline' value... unless the database is running wonky. this would be a fairly good thing, since even 'bad' DNA samples would never STAY bad, but would convert when the server decides to play nice.

I don't still have the dna... i used it in making some 2nd gen pets ... that how i noticed it because the pet was 20 levels lower than the ones I made with the surefoot brackasets of the same level and damage was way low. I had it in my inventory for about 2 days before I used it and it didn't convert. I can scrounge and see if I still have one of the samples left but I'm pretty sure I deleted it. I'll see if I can find some more like this on scylla over the next night or 2, work has me pretty busy this week.

I'm HOPING this is an occasional, intermittent problem. I'd LOVE to find the root of it, and get it reproduced. keep an eye on your DNA, and if this crops up again, note where, when, and what the donor was and note it here.
I'll be watching for irregularities.
